Marriott’s Grand Chateau is worth considering when you want a kitchen-equipped villa near the central Strip without a resort fee. The important distinction is the room type: smaller guest rooms have kitchenettes, while selected villas provide full kitchens and washer/dryers. Parking is another detail to price correctly. Marriott currently lists paid valet-only parking, so older descriptions of universally free valet should not guide a new reservation.
The best reason to choose Grand Chateau
This review is based on published Marriott information and reservation details, not a personal hotel stay. Our recommendations reflect the published layout and location tradeoffs.
Where is Marriott’s Grand Chateau?
The resort is at 75 East Harmon Avenue, just east of Las Vegas Boulevard. It belongs on a shortlist for visitors who want central Strip access while sleeping in a property designed around vacation accommodations. It is a different hotel from the Las Vegas Marriott near the convention center.
The location works particularly well when your itinerary combines central and south-central Strip attractions. Check the route to the actual entrance of each venue, because walking across a large resort can add substantial distance after reaching its street address. Our Strip walking guide helps set realistic expectations.
A central base does not automatically remove every transport need. If the trip includes Red Rock Canyon, Summerlin or multiple venues far apart, compare the value of a rental car with individual rides. A car-free plan can still work, but its usefulness depends on the full itinerary rather than the hotel’s name or a map pin.
Guest rooms versus villas: the distinction that matters
Marriott’s official room descriptions separate smaller guest rooms from one-, two- and three-bedroom villas. Smaller guest rooms have a kitchenette. Full kitchens and washer/dryers are listed for selected villa accommodations, so read the category rather than assuming every reservation includes the same equipment.
| Accommodation approach | Useful when | Detail to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Smaller guest room | A couple needs a shorter stay and limited food preparation | Kitchenette equipment and seating |
| One-bedroom villa | You want separate sleeping and living functions | Bedroom door, kitchen and sofa-bed arrangement |
| Two- or three-bedroom villa | Several travelers need bedroom privacy | Exact beds, bathrooms and registered occupancy |
The difference between a kitchenette and a full kitchen can determine whether a planned food budget works. A microwave and refrigerator support breakfasts and leftovers; a complete cooking setup supports a broader meal plan. Our kitchen-hotel guide explains the practical distinctions.
For a larger party, compare privacy before square footage. Two couples may prefer two private bedrooms even if a one-bedroom villa technically accommodates everyone with a sleeper sofa. A family with young children may value a shared living room more than a second room in an unrelated part of a hotel.

Who gets the most value from a villa?
Grand Chateau is strongest when your daily routine benefits from apartment-style equipment. A family staying several nights can spread out, prepare simple meals and manage laundry without using every evening for errands. Two adults working different schedules can also benefit from a separate living area, provided the booked layout has the required separation.
The value is less obvious on a one-night visit. If you arrive late, eat out and leave early, the kitchen and laundry may do little for you. Compare an ordinary room as well as a villa rather than assuming the larger category is automatically the better choice.
For groups, enter every guest into the reservation and inspect the bed arrangement. A sofa bed has implications for living-room access after bedtime. Our guides to sofa-bed hotels and suites with two bathrooms can help identify those tradeoffs before they become an arrival-day problem.

No resort fee, but paid valet parking
The Marriott overview states that Grand Chateau has no resort fee. It also lists valet-only parking at $25 daily per vehicle (as of October 2026), a two-vehicle limit per reservation and no onsite parking for oversized vehicles. Confirm your selected reservation’s parking terms, including applicable taxes and any specific package exceptions.
This changes the comparison for drivers. For three nights, use three nights of the applicable parking charge when comparing a villa with another hotel. Do not give Grand Chateau credit for free valet based on an old review or a benefit that applies to a different ownership arrangement.
Likewise, no resort fee does not mean no taxes, incidental authorization or optional charges. Keep the refundable card hold separate from the final cost, and inspect the full cancellation conditions. Our hotel-deposit guide explains why the available balance on a card matters even after a room is prepaid.
Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.
Pools and the resort experience
Marriott lists outdoor pool facilities, a whirlpool and fitness amenities, with some poolside food-and-drink venues operating seasonally. Think of the pool as part of a vacation resort rather than assuming the scale or entertainment program of a major casino pool complex.
Before booking specifically for swimming, check which pool areas and dining outlets are operating on your dates. A rooftop photograph can show an appealing setting without establishing current hours, available loungers or weather conditions. Separate the pool itself from a seasonal pool bar when reading amenity lists.
The property is smoke-free and its appeal is a villa-focused stay near the Strip. If a casino floor, a large range of late-night restaurants or a nightclub in your own building is central to your plan, compare a casino resort directly. Access to neighboring hotels’ guest pools should never be assumed.

Check-in, airport transport and refurbishment alerts
The official overview lists check-in at 4 PM and check-out at 10 AM. That early departure time matters for a family packing a villa after breakfast. Arrange luggage storage or an approved late checkout rather than assuming a room will remain available until a late flight.
Marriott does not list an airport shuttle or onsite EV charging at this property. Drivers needing a charger should arrange a separate charging plan. Travelers arriving by air should budget their airport transfer instead of treating a central location as an included transportation benefit.
The Marriott Vacation Clubs resort page currently announces villa refurbishment from April 24 through November 17, 2027, with daytime work and other amenities expected to remain open. Check the live alert before booking those dates. An expectation that amenities remain operational is not a promise of a noise-free stay.

Alternatives worth comparing
Consider Elara for another suite-oriented central location, but compare the exact category’s kitchen and laundry rather than the broad hotel label. Consider The Carriage House for a smaller property, while checking current pool notices and the relevant room setup.
If you mainly want a conventional luxury room and will rarely use a kitchen, start with our best Las Vegas hotels guide. If avoiding mandatory nightly fees is the priority, compare the complete shortlist of hotels without resort fees, including parking where needed.
