The hotels near the Mandalay Bay Convention Center that matter most are the three already attached to it. The convention center is part of the Mandalay Bay resort at 3950 Las Vegas Boulevard South, the southern end of the Strip, and MGM sells the whole campus as a “fully integrated resort” with everything “all under one roof.” W Las Vegas and the Four Seasons share that campus, Luxor connects indoors through The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, and Excalibur is a free tram ride away. What MGM doesn’t publish is a walk time from any hotel lobby to the halls, so allow extra time on show mornings.

Quick answer

Mandalay Bay is the closest hotel: MGM says the convention center and resort are “all under one roof.” W Las Vegas, an all-suite, casino-free hotel, and the Four Seasons, which occupies dedicated floors of Mandalay Bay’s tower, are on the same campus. For a lower rate, Luxor connects indoors through The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, and Excalibur rides the free tram. Black Hat USA 2027 runs July 31–Aug. 5, 2027.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

The Bayside exhibit halls (A to F) are on Level 1 of the South Convention Center, with ballrooms and meeting rooms on Levels 2 and 3, and a FedEx Office Business Center on Level 1. After hours you have Mandalay Bay Beach, Shark Reef Aquarium and Michael Jackson ONE without crossing a street. Our Mandalay Bay review covers the rooms and towers.

Watch out for: a $50 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026), waived for MGM Rewards Gold members and above on up to two direct bookings per trip. You must be 21 to check in, and the hotel authorizes $100 a day for incidentals.

South Strip Upscale

  • Formerly Delano
  • No casino
  • Smoke-free
  • Mandalay Bay Beach access

The former Delano became W Las Vegas in December 2024. It’s an all-suite tower of 1,117 suites at 3940 Las Vegas Boulevard South, on the Mandalay Bay campus, with no casino and a smoke-free policy. MGM’s convention planning guide covers W’s own meeting rooms too.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

This is the answer if you’re searching for a Marriott hotel near the Mandalay Bay Convention Center: W Las Vegas is part of the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy. It shares Mandalay Bay’s self-parking garage and rideshare area, and its guests get Mandalay Bay Beach plus their own WET Deck pool. MGM’s planner guide notes that W has a single entrance, west of Mandalay Bay’s main lobby.

Watch out for: a $50 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026). Some outlets were closed or being remodeled in 2026, including the Skyfall Lounge, and the suites don’t have pull-out sofa beds.

3. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas: Best Quiet Luxury

  • No casino
  • Smoke-free
  • Five-Star spa
  • Private pool + Mandalay Bay Beach

Four Seasons occupies five dedicated floors of the Mandalay Bay tower, with its own entrance and elevators at 3960 Las Vegas Boulevard South. It has no casino and no smoking, and guests can use Mandalay Bay’s casino, beach and venues.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

It’s the calmest base on the campus after a long show day: 424 rooms and suites, a Forbes Five-Star spa, a private seasonal pool and its own meeting space. You reach the halls by walking through Mandalay Bay. Four Seasons hasn’t published a walk time.

Watch out for: we couldn’t confirm the current resort fee or parking charges, so check both in the booking engine before you pay. Check-in is at 4 p.m.

4. Luxor: Best Budget Hotel With an Indoor Walk

Best Budget Hotel With an Indoor Walk

Luxor Hotel & Casino

South Strip Budget

  • Pyramid & tower rooms
  • Blue Man Group
  • Titanic & Bodies exhibitions

Luxor’s map marks an “escalator up to atrium level & to The Shoppes at Mandalay Place,” the shopping skybridge that leads into Mandalay Bay. You can also take the free tram, which Luxor lists as running daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Luxor is the usual way to save money on a Mandalay Bay show while keeping the walk indoors, but it’s a long one: through Luxor, along Mandalay Place, then through Mandalay Bay to the South Convention Center. If you’re weighing the two hotels, our Mandalay Bay vs. Luxor comparison lays out the trade-offs, and our Luxor review covers pyramid versus tower rooms.

Watch out for: a $45 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026) and a 21+ check-in rule. Rideshare pickup is at the North Entrance off Reno Avenue, not at the main door.

5. Excalibur: Best Budget Pick by Tram

Best Budget Pick by Tram

Excalibur Hotel & Casino

South Strip Budget

  • Pools with water slide
  • Fun Dungeon arcade
  • Tournament of Kings
  • Free tram to Luxor & Mandalay Bay

Excalibur’s tram station, by its Las Vegas Boulevard front entrance, runs to Luxor and Mandalay Bay for free. Excalibur’s own page lists Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to midnight and weekends 10 a.m. to midnight, while Mandalay Bay and Luxor list daily 10 a.m. to midnight.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Because the pages disagree, check the posted tram hours on your first morning. If the tram isn’t running, Excalibur’s map shows a “walkway to Luxor” (no official source says whether it’s enclosed), and from Luxor you continue through Mandalay Place. Excalibur is castle-themed and budget-priced, and it’s the only MGM Strip resort that takes oversized vehicles, a plus for exhibitors driving in. See our Excalibur review.

Watch out for: a $45 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026), a 21+ check-in rule and no valet on MGM’s rate list.

6. New York-New York: Best for Monorail Access

New York-New York connects by the Excalibur Bridge across Tropicana Avenue to Excalibur and its tram, and by a second bridge across Las Vegas Boulevard to MGM Grand, home of the closest Monorail station.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Pick it if your week mixes Mandalay Bay with a show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, since the Monorail runs from MGM Grand to the convention center. It’s also next door to T-Mobile Arena. Our New York-New York review has the rooms.

Watch out for: the county doesn’t describe the Strip bridges as enclosed, so treat them as outdoor crossings. The resort fee is $45 plus tax (as of October 2026).

Getting to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center

  • From Mandalay Bay, W or Four Seasons: stay inside. Follow the signs through Mandalay Bay to the South Convention Center, where the Bayside halls are on Level 1.
  • From Luxor: go up to the atrium level and through The Shoppes at Mandalay Place into Mandalay Bay. Our guide to connected hotels in Las Vegas maps this and the other indoor links.
  • By tram: the free Mandalay Bay–Luxor–Excalibur tram runs on the west side of Las Vegas Boulevard. It doesn’t connect to any other tram.
  • By rideshare: at Mandalay Bay and W, drop-off is at the porte cochère on the main drive, and pickup is south of the hotel lobby, down the escalator at beach level. Groups arriving by organized transportation use the Shark Reef Shuttle Bus Lot or the Beach level, per MGM’s planner guide.
  • By Monorail: the nearest station is MGM Grand, at the north end of the south Strip; from there it’s a walk across the bridges or a rideshare.

One more tip: a Las Vegas Boulevard utility and repaving project between Tropicana Avenue and Russell Road runs through January 2027, with overnight lane restrictions. Leave extra time for early rides.

Closest airport to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is the closest. The convention center is about 1.3 miles from the airport as the crow flies, by our straight-line calculation; Mandalay Bay’s FAQ puts the airport “about 2 miles away,” and the Four Seasons says 3.2 miles, about 15 minutes by car. Mandalay Bay and W don’t run an airport shuttle. Our guide to hotels near the Las Vegas airport covers stays closer to the terminals.

Mandalay Bay Convention Center parking

MGM’s planner guide gives two options:

  • Main self-parking garage: on the west side of the building, entered from Hacienda Avenue or Frank Sinatra Way. W Las Vegas shares it.
  • Convention Center garage: on the south end of the building, entered from Las Vegas Boulevard or Russell Road.

At MGM’s Strip resorts, registered hotel guests pay $20 a day to self-park; non-guests pay $20 Monday to Thursday and $25 Friday to Sunday, and valet at Mandalay Bay and W is $40 (as of October 2026). MGM warns that “prices may be higher and certain complimentary parking offers not valid during special events.” Self-parking is free for MGM Rewards Pearl, Gold, Platinum and NOIR members and MGM Rewards Mastercard holders, and Nevada residents get the first 3 hours free except during special events. Oversized vehicles can’t park at Mandalay Bay. Our guide to Las Vegas parking fees compares other resorts.

Black Hat USA lists its 2027 dates on its upcoming events page; for hotels, it only offers a “request 2027 hotel information” form so far, and the room blocks haven’t been announced. Licensing Expo says its onPeak rates “typically average 30% less than what you’ll find on other travel sites,” so compare the block with flexible rates before you book elsewhere. The Cisco Live dates come from Cisco’s event pages; confirm them there before you book. The full CES week, Jan. 6–9, centers on the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Venetian Campus; see hotels near the Las Vegas Convention Center for CES housing.

If your show is at the Venetian Expo or CAESARS FORUM instead, our guide to hotels near the Venetian Expo covers that end of the Strip.

Michelob ULTRA Arena: staying for an event

Michelob ULTRA Arena is also part of Mandalay Bay. MGM calls it a “modern 12,000-seat sports and entertainment complex” that has hosted headliners such as Katy Perry, UFC fights and the Latin GRAMMY Awards, and it’s home to the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces. On event days, the box office opens 4 hours before the event time.

The same hotels work for arena nights: Mandalay Bay, W and the Four Seasons are on the campus, and Luxor connects through Mandalay Place. On arena nights, remember MGM’s warning that event parking prices may be higher.

Where to stay on a budget near Mandalay Bay

Luxor and Excalibur are the budget picks, both connected to Mandalay Bay without a street crossing, and both charge a lower resort fee than Mandalay Bay (as of October 2026). Excalibur also has the only oversized-vehicle parking at an MGM Strip resort. Mandalay Bay, W and Luxor are all less than half a mile from Allegiant Stadium, per MGM, so check for stadium events when you pick your dates; our guide to hotels near Allegiant Stadium covers this end of the Strip on game days.

Rates vary by day of the week, events and season. For the wider choice of neighborhoods, start with where to stay in Las Vegas.
