Bellagio vs Wynn comes down to what you want outside your door: Bellagio puts the fountains, the Conservatory and “O” in the middle of the Strip, while Wynn trades that address for bigger rooms, Forbes Five-Star suites and spa, and free self-parking on the north Strip. Both charge a $55-plus-tax nightly resort fee (as of October 2026); our Bellagio review and Wynn Las Vegas review cover each hotel in full.

Quick answer

  • Best overall for a luxury-first trip: Wynn. Standard rooms measure 640 square feet (745 at sister tower Encore), Forbes Travel Guide rates the Tower Suites and both spas Five-Star, and registered guests self-park free.
  • Best for first-time visitors: Bellagio, for the center-Strip address, the free fountains and Conservatory, and “O” on site.
  • Best for couples: Wynn this fall, because The Spa at Wynn is open and Spa Bellagio isn’t. Book Bellagio if a fountain-view room is the point of the trip.
  • Best for families: Bellagio. The fountains and Conservatory are free, “O” admits ages 5 and up, and kids 5 and under eat free at the buffet.
  • Best buffet: Wynn, which serves its seafood dinner every day; Bellagio’s buffet serves dinner only on weekends.
  • Best for drivers: Wynn. Self-parking is free for registered guests, against $20 a day at Bellagio.

Location: center Strip vs north Strip

Bellagio sits at 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, on the southwest corner of the Flamingo Road intersection. Pedestrian bridges lead to Caesars Palace and Horseshoe, MGM’s interior bridge links it with The Cosmopolitan and Vdara, and the free ARIA Express tram runs from Bellagio’s station to ARIA and Park MGM, daily from 8 a.m. to midnight.

Wynn sits at 3131 Las Vegas Blvd S on the north Strip, on the east side of the boulevard at Sands Avenue, sharing its address with Encore. A county bridge crosses Sands Avenue to The Palazzo, another crosses the boulevard to Fashion Show, and the Vegas Loop station at Encore runs to the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The two resorts aren’t connected: no tram or Monorail links them, and we found no official walking time, so plan on a taxi or rideshare. From the airport, taxis charge flat zone fares: $26.25 to Bellagio’s center-Strip zone and $30.25 to Wynn’s north-Strip zone, plus 3% excise tax and a $3 card fee (as of October 2026).

Grand Prix week

Both resorts front the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit, which races Nov. 19–21, 2026, so check closures before booking those dates.

Room size is Wynn’s clearest win. Its standard rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, and guests describe them as spacious and very clean, with excellent beds. Encore’s 745-square-foot rooms add separate living and sleeping areas and a bath with an oversize marble tub, a glass-enclosed shower and dual sinks.

Bellagio’s official sizes are smaller: 510 square feet for the remodeled Premier rooms, the Fountain View rooms and the Spa Tower’s Spa Premier rooms, and 626 for the Resort Tower King. Main-tower rooms were redone in 2021 and Spa Tower rooms in 2023, though some guests still call their rooms dated. The fountain view is sold by category: only rooms named Fountain View or Lakeview promise it, and Bellagio sells a VIP Lounge add-on on Fountain View rooms for $150 a night (as of October 2026). Our guide to fountain-view rooms in Las Vegas covers the options.

Wynn’s premium tier is the Tower Suites, which Forbes rates Five-Star, as it does Encore Tower Suites; both hotels are Forbes Four-Star. Entry Tower Suites match the standard rooms in size, so you’re paying for separate registration, a private pool, a $50 daily breakfast credit and free valet. We couldn’t find a current Forbes Travel Guide hotel rating for Bellagio, and neither resort is on AAA’s 2026 Five Diamond list.

Pools

Bellagio’s newly renovated courtyard has five pools in a Mediterranean setting, open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with cabanas until 5 p.m. The Cypress Pool is a reservation-only retreat for guests 18 and over. Kids under 16 need a parent or guardian 18 or older with them.

The Pool at Wynn is a garden-style resort pool, open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, and Tower Suites guests have a private pool. Encore’s resort pool keeps the same hours, but its European Pool and Jacuzzi were listed as closed on Oct. 9, 2026, and the 21+ Encore Beach Club listed events through Oct. 24 with no season end date. Wynn guests complain about paying extra for umbrellas and seating.

Which has the better pool? Bellagio, for a calm swim and an adults-only option. Wynn, for a dayclub party or the privacy of the Tower Suites pool. Neither has published a 2026–27 winter schedule.

Spas

This is the biggest gap right now. Spa Bellagio’s official page still said “currently under renovation” on Oct. 9, 2026: select treatments run on the Spa Tower’s fourth floor and in-room, but there are no whirlpools, steam rooms, saunas or locker rooms, and no reopening date is posted. A November 2026 target comes only from trade reports earlier in the year.

The Spa at Wynn, reimagined in 2019, is Forbes Five-Star and opens daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for guests 18 and over. The Spa at Encore is also Five-Star, but its sauna, steam room and wet areas are temporarily unavailable, with treatments $45 cheaper meanwhile (as of October 2026). Our best spas in Las Vegas guide compares day passes.

Dining

Bellagio’s restaurants sell the view. Carbone Riviera, Major Food Group’s coastal Italian, opened Nov. 7, 2025, in the former Picasso space, with lakeside terraces over the fountains, and PRIME Steakhouse and The Mayfair Supper Club also face the lake. Michael Mina is Forbes Four-Star and was selected by the MICHELIN Guide in 2026. Le Cirque served its last dinner on Aug. 23, 2026, so skip older guides that still name it.

Wynn has more Forbes stars on the menu. Wing Lei, a Cantonese room in the Tower Suites, is Forbes Five-Star, SW Steakhouse and Mizumi are Four-Star, and Sartiano’s Italian Steakhouse opened in March 2026 overlooking the golf course. At Encore, Sinatra is Four-Star and Casa Playa serves coastal Mexican. Jardin, Encore’s garden restaurant, closed permanently in 2026.

Which buffet is better, Wynn or Bellagio?

Wynn’s, if you want dinner. The Buffet at Wynn serves brunch daily from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a seafood gourmet dinner daily from 1 to 9 p.m., with 16 live kitchens and an optional 1.5-pound Maine lobster tail upgrade. Wynn doesn’t post prices, and guests rate it well.

The Buffet at Bellagio is brunch-only on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at $44.99. Weekends run 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.: brunch is $49.99, Saturday’s seafood dinner $69.99 and Sunday dinner $59.99. Kids 5 and under eat free, and ages 6 to 11 pay half price (before tax and gratuity, as of October 2026). Bellagio wins on posted prices and kids’ pricing; Wynn wins on a seafood dinner any night.

Casino

Bellagio’s casino covers 156,000 square feet, and its poker room includes the high-limit Legends Room, formerly Bobby’s Room. Wynn’s casino has a poker room with cash games and tournaments and a race and sports book, Encore adds high-limit gaming, and Wynn validates self-parking for poker players. Neither is smoke-free: smoking is allowed on both casino floors, and Wynn also allows it at pool areas and on designated hotel floors. Bellagio is an MGM Rewards resort that Marriott Bonvoy also sells; Wynn Rewards earns tier credits only from rated play.

Entertainment and nightlife

Bellagio’s evenings are classic and largely free. The fountains run every 30 minutes from 3 p.m. on weekdays and from noon on weekends, then every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight, according to Bellagio’s own schedule. The Conservatory changes with the seasons, and “O” by Cirque du Soleil has played its 1,800-seat theater since 1998, for ages 5 and up. For a big night, The Cosmopolitan’s Marquee Nightclub and The Chandelier bar are across the interior bridge.

Wynn’s production show is gone for now: Awakening played its final performance on Oct. 10, 2026, and Wynn has told the press a new, still-unnamed production will take over the theater in 2027. Encore Theater books headliners, with fall 2026 listings including Lionel Richie, Tom Jones and Nate Bargatze. The free Lake of Dreams show runs every half hour after dusk, and XS Nightclub (21+) is closed for renovation this fall, with a New Year’s Eve reopening reported.

Resort fees

Self-parking, hotel guests$20 per dayFree
Fixed extras per night with a carAbout $82.36About $62.36

The fee is identical; what it covers differs. Bellagio’s includes Wi-Fi, calls, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and fitness center access. Wynn’s stay terms set its fee at $55 plus tax for reservations booked on or after Jan. 15, 2025, and its inclusions add self-parking for up to two vehicles and daily bottled water.

The math: $55 plus the Strip’s 13.38% room tax is about $62.36 a night at either resort. Add Bellagio’s $20 guest self-parking and the fixed extras reach about $82.36 a night ($62.36 + $20), so three nights with a car cost $60 more at Bellagio before the room rate. MGM Rewards Gold members and above can have the resort fee waived when they book direct; Wynn Rewards lists no fee waiver. Our guide to Las Vegas resort fees covers the rest of the Strip.

Parking

Bellagio charges registered hotel guests $20 per 24 hours to self-park, any day, and $40 a day for valet; visitors pay $20 Monday through Thursday and $25 Friday through Sunday. MGM Rewards Pearl members and above park free, Gold and above get free valet, and Nevada residents get three free hours except during special events.

Wynn’s parking page makes self-parking complimentary for registered Wynn and Encore guests, subject to availability. Valet is $40 a day with no re-entry, and free for Tower Suites guests; visitors get three free hours, then pay $25 a day, and prices may be higher during special events. Our Las Vegas parking fees guide compares other resorts.

Price positioning

Neither resort is reliably cheaper. Both sit in the luxury tier, and rates move with the day of the week, events and the season, so compare the same dates at both. What you can predict is the add-ons: Wynn saves drivers $20 a day, and both charge $50 a night for each extra guest beyond two.

Membership helps at both: Wynn Rewards is free to join, with member rates up to 30% off rooms, and MGM’s direct-booking member savings reach up to 15% off flexible rates. Guests at both grumble about add-ons, from minibar prices at Bellagio to pool seating and breakfast at Wynn. Our luxury hotels in Las Vegas ranking puts both in context.

Which is better for couples?

Wynn, for most couples this fall: a bigger room, a Five-Star spa you can book, and dinner at Wing Lei or on SW Steakhouse’s Lake of Dreams patio. Bellagio is the pick for a fountain-view anniversary: book a Fountain View room or a Lakeview Suite, dine on Carbone Riviera’s terraces and spend an afternoon at the 18+ Cypress Pool. Our romantic hotels in Las Vegas guide names more room types.

Which is better for families?

Bellagio. The fountains and the Conservatory cost nothing, “O” admits ages 5 and up, kids under 16 can swim with a parent, and the buffet’s kids’ pricing helps. Wynn’s 640-square-foot Two Queens rooms and Encore’s 745-square-foot rooms are roomier, but Wynn’s headline extras (Encore Beach Club, XS, the spa) are adults-only, and both charge $50 a night per extra guest.

Which is better for nightlife?

Wynn. Encore Beach Club (seasonal) and XS Nightclub (closed for renovation this fall, with a New Year’s Eve reopening reported) share the campus, Delilah pairs dinner with live entertainment, and Encore Theater books big names. Bellagio’s nightlife is next door: Marquee and The Chandelier at The Cosmopolitan are an indoor walk away.

Which is better for first-time visitors?

Bellagio. It’s the Las Vegas most first-timers picture, the free shows are out front, and Caesars Palace, Horseshoe and The Cosmopolitan are a bridge or walkway away. Wynn suits a return trip better, when the room and the spa matter more than the address.

Should you stay at Bellagio, Wynn or Encore?

Encore is the Wynn-side alternative, with the same resort fee, free guest self-parking and shared amenities. Choose it for the 745-square-foot room with a tub and quick access to Encore Beach Club and the Loop; choose Wynn for Wing Lei, the Lake of Dreams restaurants and the private Tower Suites pool. Some Encore guests hear the beach club late at night. If the all-suite Venetian is also on your list, see Venetian vs Wynn and Bellagio vs Venetian.

Which should you book?

Choose Bellagio if:

  • It’s your first trip, and you want the fountains, the Conservatory and “O” on the property.
  • You want the center Strip on foot, with bridges to Caesars Palace and Horseshoe.
  • A fountain-view room is the reason for the trip, or you’re traveling with kids.
  • You collect MGM Rewards or Marriott Bonvoy points.

Choose Wynn if:

  • Room size matters: 640 square feet at Wynn or 745 at Encore, against 510 for most Bellagio categories.
  • You want a Forbes Five-Star spa or Tower Suite, especially while Spa Bellagio is closed.
  • You’re driving and want free self-parking.
  • You want a weeknight buffet dinner, Encore Beach Club in season, XS once it reopens, or a round of golf.

For a luxury-first trip, Wynn is the stronger hotel; for a first look at Las Vegas, Bellagio’s address is worth more than the extra square feet. Prices vary according to travel dates and availability, and our best hotels in Las Vegas ranking shows where both land.

Neither is consistently more expensive on the room rate; both are luxury resorts whose prices change with dates and demand. On fixed extras, Bellagio costs more if you drive: both charge $55 plus tax a night in resort fees, but Bellagio charges hotel guests $20 a day to self-park, while Wynn’s self-parking is free for registered guests (as of October 2026).

Which has the better pool, Bellagio or Wynn?
