Bellagio is MGM Resorts’ center-Strip classic: a 3,933-room resort overlooking the 8.5-acre lake where the Fountains of Bellagio perform, with “O” by Cirque du Soleil, a free Conservatory and one of the Strip’s strongest restaurant line-ups under one roof. The short answer from this Bellagio review: it’s still worth booking if you’ll use the fountains, the food and the location, and a fountain-view room pays off mainly if you’ll be in it after dark. Skip it if a spa day, a smoke-free casino or the lowest rate is the priority.

Quick Verdict

Book Bellagio for the classic Las Vegas postcard: fountain views, the Conservatory, “O” and a dining line-up led by Carbone Riviera and Michael Mina, with a free tram to ARIA and Park MGM. Choose ARIA instead for a modern room and a Forbes Five-Star spa, since Spa Bellagio is closed for a full remodel. Either way, add the $55-plus-tax nightly resort fee (as of October 2026) to luxury-level rates.

Location and the ARIA Express tram

Bellagio sits at 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd in the Center Strip, with its lake and fountains out front. An interior walkway connects it to Vdara and to The Cosmopolitan next door, so Cosmo’s bars are an indoor stroll away.

The free ARIA Express tram runs from Bellagio’s station, shared with Vdara, to CityCenter (ARIA, The Shops at Crystals and Waldorf Astoria) and on to Park MGM, next to T-Mobile Arena. There’s no Las Vegas Monorail stop here; the line’s stations include Horseshoe/Paris and MGM Grand.

Harry Reid International Airport sits just southeast of the Strip. Taxis from the airport charge flat zone fares, and Bellagio is in the center-Strip zone: $26.25 per direct trip after an April 2026 fuel surcharge, plus 3% excise tax and a $3 fee for card payments.

Rooms: Bellagio Tower vs Spa Tower

Bellagio’s rooms are split between two towers. The original 36-story Bellagio Tower holds 3,005 rooms, redone in 2021. The 33-story Spa Tower, added in December 2004, has 928 rooms and direct spa access; its rooms went through a $110 million remodel scheduled to finish by October 2023. Book a Spa Tower room type if you want the newer renovation and the smaller tower. If you want a fountain view, the room category matters more than the tower.

Sizes below come from booking-site listings and other secondary sources, so treat them as approximate.

Guests consistently praise spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The recurring complaints: some rooms feel dated, housekeeping can be inconsistent and some walls are thin.

Which Bellagio rooms have fountain views?

Only lake-facing rooms look down on the fountains, and not every room faces the lake, a common complaint in guest reviews. If the view is the point, book a room type that names it and read the description before you pay. A view request at check-in is only a request.

Shows run every 30 minutes in the afternoon, then every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. High winds can cancel them.

Is a fountain-view room worth the price?

Yes, if you’ll spend evenings in the room or you’re celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon. No, if you’ll be out until 1 a.m.: the show is free to watch from the front of the resort, and Carbone Riviera, Prime Steakhouse and The Mayfair Supper Club all overlook the fountains. Prices vary according to travel dates and availability, so price both room types for your dates.

Pools

The pool area is a Mediterranean-style courtyard with five pools, cabanas and COMO Poolside Cafe & Bar, which serves Mediterranean-inspired food and cocktails. Adults also have the Cypress Pool, an adults-only area; check its current access rules and hours before you plan a day around it.

Winter is the catch. Strip resorts trim pool hours and decks outside the warm months, and we couldn’t confirm Bellagio’s 2026–27 winter schedule in early October. If a pool day matters on a winter trip, confirm hours with the hotel or compare our picks for the best Las Vegas hotel pools.

Restaurants and bars

The biggest recent change is Carbone Riviera, Major Food Group’s coastal Italian, seafood-focused restaurant, which opened Nov. 7, 2025, in the former Picasso space. Its main room opens onto two lake-facing terraces, Bellagio’s 33-foot Riva yacht, Fortuna, is docked on the patio, and dinner runs nightly from 5 to 11 p.m.

Michael Mina, a seafood restaurant, is rated Four-Star by Forbes Travel Guide and was selected by the MICHELIN Guide in 2026. Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s recently redesigned Prime Steakhouse and The Mayfair Supper Club, which pairs dinner with live entertainment, both have fountain views. Harvest covers farm-to-table American.

Two names from older guides are gone: Picasso closed in August 2024, and Le Cirque served its last dinner on Aug. 23, 2026, with a new concept expected in mid-2027. Food and minibar prices are a steady guest complaint, so ARIA’s Proper Eats Food Hall, one tram stop away, helps balance the budget.

Casino and entertainment

The 156,000-square-foot casino has a poker room with the high-limit Legends Room, formerly Bobby’s Room. Smoking is allowed on the casino floor, and guests regularly mention smoke in the casino and common areas.

“O” by Cirque du Soleil has played its 1,800-seat theater since 1998. The official “O” show page lists a 90-minute performance with no intermission and a minimum age of 5.

The free Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, next to the lobby, changes five times a year, with displays for Chinese New Year, spring, summer, fall and winter. Dale Chihuly’s glass-flower ceiling, Fiori di Como, hangs in the lobby, and the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art runs rotating exhibitions.

Race week

For the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on Nov. 19–21, 2026, MGM runs the Bellagio Fountain Club hospitality venue overlooking the fastest stretch of the circuit. Check access and closures before booking those dates; airport taxis also add a $15 F1-week surcharge in 2026.

Amenities

Spa Bellagio, a 55,000-square-foot spa, has been closed for a full remodel since March 2026. Trade reports target a November 2026 reopening, so check the status on Bellagio’s official site before planning a spa day. Meanwhile, the salon and barber stay open, select treatments are offered on the Spa Tower’s fourth floor and in-room, and the fitness center is temporarily on the Promenade.

Via Bellagio adds luxury shopping, and there’s convention space. Bellagio is an MGM Rewards resort, and through the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy it’s also sold on Marriott as “Bellagio, a Luxury Collection Resort & Casino, Las Vegas.”

Resort fee and parking

ChargeCost (as of October 2026)
Resort fee$55 + tax per night
Self-parking, hotel guests$20 per day, every day
Valet$40 per day
Self-parking, visitors$20 Mon–Thu, $25 Fri–Sun (per 24 hours)

MGM set the fee at this level on Dec. 4, 2024. As last reported for MGM’s Las Vegas resorts, it covers in-room Wi-Fi, local and domestic long-distance calls, fitness center access, PressReader digital newspapers and magazines, boarding-pass printing and Paramount+ with SHOWTIME. Clark County taxes resort fees like room rent at the Strip’s 13.38% rate, which turns $55 into about $62.36.

Since May 12, 2025, the FTC’s fee rule has required the total price shown at booking to include mandatory fees like this one, though taxes can still be listed separately. Our guide to Las Vegas resort fees shows what other Strip resorts charge.

Nevada residents get three free hours of self-parking with a scanned Nevada driver’s license, except during special events. According to 2026 parking lists, MGM Rewards Pearl members and above (and MGM Rewards Mastercard holders) park free, and Gold members and above get free valet. Bellagio vs ARIA: which is better?

They share the free tram, the resort fee and the parking rates, so it comes down to style. ARIA has modern rooms guests praise for touchscreen controls and blackout curtains, plus The Spa at ARIA and the ARIA Sky Suites, both rated Five-Star by Forbes Travel Guide in 2026. Guests’ main gripes there: no in-room coffee maker or usable fridge, and a casino that can feel dark. Choose Bellagio for the fountains, the Conservatory and the classic look; choose ARIA for a contemporary room and a spa you can book this fall.

Bellagio vs Venetian: which is better?

The Venetian wins on space. Every room is a suite, and the resort says its standard suites start at 650 square feet, against about 510 listed for a Bellagio Spa Premier room. It also has an indoor bridge to Sphere, the Canyon Ranch spa and World of Hyatt points. Bellagio wins on setting, with the fountains, the Conservatory and “O” on site. Book the Venetian for a Sphere show or a group sharing a suite; book Bellagio for a classic, romantic stay. Our Venetian Las Vegas review has the details.

Yes, if you’ll use what you’re paying for. Bellagio still delivers the Las Vegas most people picture: fountains out front, a free Conservatory, “O” and a restaurant line-up from Carbone Riviera to Michael Mina, all on a free tram line to CityCenter. Book a fountain-view room for a romantic trip with evenings in, and a standard room if you’ll be out every night.

How much is parking at Bellagio for hotel guests?

Is Bellagio part of Marriott Bonvoy?

Yes. Through the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, Bellagio is sold on Marriott as “Bellagio, a Luxury Collection Resort & Casino, Las Vegas,” so Bonvoy members can book it there. It’s also an MGM Rewards resort, with free self-parking from the Pearl tier up.

Is the Bellagio pool open in winter?

Expect limited pool service. Strip resorts trim pool hours and decks outside the warm months, and we couldn’t confirm Bellagio’s 2026–27 winter schedule in early October. If swimming is a must on a winter trip, confirm pool hours with Bellagio before you book.

Is Bellagio smoke-free?

Is the spa at Bellagio open?

Not as of early October 2026. Spa Bellagio closed for a full remodel in March 2026, and trade reports target a November 2026 reopening, so check before booking treatments. The salon and barber remain open, and select treatments are offered in the Spa Tower and in-room.
