If you have tickets for a Golden Knights game, a UFC card or a concert at T-Mobile Arena, picking a hotel mostly comes down to the walk back with a crowd of up to 20,000. The arena sits at 3780 S. Las Vegas Blvd., behind New York-New York and across from Park MGM, and its main entrance faces an outdoor plaza linked to The Park, the dining district between the two resorts. That makes them the closest hotels near T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas: MGM lists both under 5 minutes away on foot, while the rest of its list takes 10 to 25 minutes, some of it by tram.

Quick answer

Park MGM is the closest hotel to T-Mobile Arena: MGM lists it 0.2 mile away, under 5 minutes on foot, and the arena’s own route guide said about 2 minutes. New York-New York is next door at 0.3 mile, and MGM Grand and ARIA are about 10 minutes away.

New York-New York is the budget pick, ARIA the luxury base, and MGM Grand adds a Monorail station for the rest of your trip.

Two official sources supply the times, both checked in October 2026: MGM’s parking page, with approximate distances and times from its resorts, and the arena’s own route list, published until at least December 2025 and since taken down. Where they differ, we show both rather than estimate; our review method explains how we source figures like these.

Event-night checklist

  • Bags: only small personal bags up to 9 x 5 x 2 inches get in. Binbox lockers on the plaza start at $20 a bag (as of October 2026), and there’s no re-entry.
  • Driving: the New York-New York, ARIA and Park MGM garages are prepay-only during arena events.
  • Getting back: rideshare pickup after the event is at New York-New York or Park MGM.

What changed in 2026

  • 2026–27 season: PWHL Las Vegas, a women’s pro hockey team, starts play at the arena.
  • Sept. 5, 2026: Mad Apple, the Cirque du Soleil show at New York-New York, closed.
  • Sept. 14, 2026: Mama Rabbit, Park MGM’s mezcal and tequila bar, closed; MGM plans a new concept for the first half of 2027.
  • October 2026: the arena’s per-hotel route page was offline when we checked on Oct. 5, so the table keeps its last published times next to MGM’s current figures.

1. Park MGM: Closest Hotel to the Arena

Closest to the Arena

Park MGM Las Vegas

Center Strip Mid-range

  • Smoke-free casino
  • Eataly
  • Next to T-Mobile Arena
  • Dolby Live

MGM lists Park MGM at 0.2 mile from T-Mobile Arena, under 5 minutes on foot, and the arena’s route list says about 2 minutes: out the main lobby doors and across the street into the arena plaza. It’s the Strip’s only fully smoke-free casino resort, with Eataly and the 5,200-seat Dolby Live theater inside.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Staying this close lets you leave everything in your room until the last minute, which matters at an arena that admits only small personal bags and has no re-entry. Friends who drive can prepay for reserved event parking in the Park MGM garage.

The Reserve at Park MGM, the former NoMad Las Vegas, is the boutique version of the same walk: 293 rooms and suites on the tower’s top four floors, with a separate lobby and the Terrace Pool. Our Park MGM review covers both, and our guide to non-smoking hotels in Las Vegas explains the smoke-free policy.

Watch out for: guests mention dated rooms, no in-room fridge, thin walls and bass from events, and long check-in lines. The resort fee is $50 plus tax (as of October 2026), about $56.69 a night with the 13.38% room tax.

MGM puts New York-New York 0.3 mile from the arena, under 5 minutes on foot; the arena’s route list says about 3 minutes, out into The Park and toward the plaza. It’s the only budget-tier hotel this close, and its $45 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026) is $5 less than Park MGM’s.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

A lot of the arena’s event-night logistics run through here: rideshare drop-off on the ground level of the New York-New York garage, ADA pickup along the hotel at the plaza entrance, and VIP and reserved event parking in the garage. Tom’s Watch Bar and Nine Fine Irishmen handle the pregame, and our New York-New York review covers the room categories.

Watch out for: guests mention roller-coaster and construction noise, small rooms with tiny windows, no coffee maker or fridge, and cigarette smell on the casino floor. Standard Soho rooms are 350 square feet.

MGM and the arena both put MGM Grand about 10 minutes away on foot (0.4 mile, per MGM), over the New York-New York pedestrian bridge and through The Park. It has a 6.5-acre pool complex with a lazy river, main-tower rooms remodeled in a $300 million project finished in November 2025, and the Monorail’s southern terminus.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Book it when the arena is one night of a longer trip, since the Monorail runs north from here as far as SAHARA. Our MGM Grand review breaks down the room types, and if you’re choosing between this and the closest pick, MGM Grand vs Park MGM compares the two side by side.

Watch out for: a $50 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026). Guests mention long walks inside the resort, smoke on the casino floor and no in-room coffee makers.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Guests praise the blackout curtains and the sleep quality, which count after a late event. Our ARIA Las Vegas review compares standard rooms with the Sky Suites.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Watch out for: valet-only parking at $45 a day and a $55 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026). Guests mention pricey dining and some worn room details. Our Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas review covers the rooms and the pool deck.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Its three non-gaming, smoke-free towers hold suites with kitchenettes, and valet parking is complimentary for one vehicle per reservation.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

That free valet matters on event nights, when MGM makes the ARIA, Park MGM and New York-New York garages prepay-only. If the valet is full, The Signature hands you a complimentary MGM Grand parking pass. Deluxe Suites are 550 square feet, with a king bed and a queen sofa bed.

Watch out for: a $50 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026). Guests mention dated decor, slow valet at busy times and a long walk to MGM Grand.

Getting to T-Mobile Arena on event night

Walking and the Monorail

The arena plaza, two acres outside the main doors, connects to The Park, New York-New York and Park MGM; from Las Vegas Boulevard, Park Avenue is the way in. Pedestrian bridges link New York-New York to MGM Grand and to Excalibur, and our guide to walking the Las Vegas Strip covers the other crossings.

The closest Monorail station is MGM Grand; the arena’s route list put the trip at about 18 minutes from Horseshoe or Paris, walking included. Trains run from 7 a.m. until midnight on Mondays, 2 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 3 a.m. Friday through Sunday, with some early closures this fall; our Las Vegas Monorail guide lists the dates and every stop. For Golden Knights games, the arena also lists RTC’s VGK Express: four routes from different parts of the valley, $2 each way.

Taxis, rideshare and ADA access

The arena’s directions page puts rideshare drop-off on the ground level of the New York-New York garage, with pickup after the event at New York-New York or Park MGM. Taxis can’t be hailed on the street in Las Vegas, so use a hotel taxi line. ADA drop-off is at the East Suite Entrance, entered from Tropicana Avenue through the New York-New York garage; ADA pickup is along New York-New York at the plaza entrance. North of Flamingo Road, MGM calls taxi or rideshare “the preferred methods of travel.”

T-Mobile Arena parking

Reserved event parking is prepaid and cashless in the New York-New York (VIP and reserved), ARIA and Park MGM garages. The arena says you can buy it up to 7 hours before an event but not on site that night, and prices aren’t shown in advance. MGM says those three garages are prepay-only during arena events, so if you’re staying at one of these hotels with a car, ask how guest parking works that night.

Otherwise, MGM charges registered hotel guests $20 a day to self-park and visitors $20 per 24 hours Monday through Thursday or $25 Friday through Sunday, and prices may be higher during special events (as of October 2026). See our guide to Las Vegas parking fees and the arena’s directions and parking page.

What event nights do to hotel prices

Rooms near the arena get pricier on event nights, and rates vary by date, so book as soon as you have tickets. The arena hosts 100 to 150 events a year, and PWHL Las Vegas, a new women’s pro hockey team, starts play here in 2026–27. Still ahead this month, per the arena’s calendar (checked October 2026): Golden Knights home games on Oct. 15, 17, 20, 27 and 30, and Weezer on Oct. 23. Check the arena’s event calendar for November and later dates before you book.

If your dates are flexible, go midweek: in 2025, Las Vegas hotels were 88.8% full on weekends against 76.6% midweek, according to the LVCVA. And budget for the resort fee, which is taxed like the room at the Strip’s 13.38% rate (fee × 1.1338):

Budget picks and other options

Where to stay near T-Mobile Arena on a budget

New York-New York, Excalibur and Luxor are the budget-tier hotels on MGM’s list, all with a $45 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026). Check New York-New York first; the other two trade a longer walk for more pools. If the arena is one night of several, start with our guide to where to stay in Las Vegas.

Farther out on the Strip

The center Strip still works on foot (times in the table above). The arena’s route list sends you from The Cosmopolitan through Crystals to the tram, from Planet Hollywood south along the Boulevard to Park Avenue, and from Bellagio by tram to the Park MGM station, or about 6 minutes by taxi.

Hotels for T-Mobile Arena and Allegiant Stadium

Luxor is the best compromise for a weekend with both venues. Mandalay Bay and W Las Vegas flip the trade-off: MGM puts them less than half a mile from Allegiant Stadium but 20 to 25 minutes from T-Mobile Arena, partly by tram; our MGM Grand vs Mandalay Bay comparison weighs the arena-side and stadium-side resorts. From Mandalay Bay, the arena called that walk-and-tram route “a great alternative to heavy traffic in a Taxi or RideShare.” Our guide to hotels near Allegiant Stadium has the stadium-side picks.

FAQ

What hotel is closest to T-Mobile Arena?

Park MGM. MGM lists it at 0.2 mile, under 5 minutes on foot, and the arena’s route list says about 2 minutes from the main lobby doors. New York-New York is a close second: 0.3 mile and under 5 minutes per MGM, or about 3 minutes through The Park per the arena.

Is T-Mobile Arena connected to a hotel?

No. It’s a standalone arena, owned by AEG and MGM Resorts. Its outdoor plaza connects to The Park, New York-New York and Park MGM, so expect a short outdoor walk from either hotel: across the street from Park MGM, or through The Park from New York-New York.

Does the Monorail go to T-Mobile Arena?

Not directly. The closest stop is the MGM Grand station at the south end of the line, and from there you walk through MGM Grand and over the New York-New York bridge; MGM puts MGM Grand about 10 minutes (0.4 mile) from the arena on foot. The arena’s old route list put the trip from the Horseshoe & Paris station at about 18 minutes, walking included.

Is T-Mobile Arena on the Strip?

Yes. Its address is 3780 S. Las Vegas Blvd., though the building sits behind New York-New York; from the Boulevard, Park Avenue leads into The Park and the arena. From resorts north of Flamingo Road, MGM recommends a taxi or rideshare over walking.

Can you walk from MGM Grand, New York-New York or Excalibur to T-Mobile Arena?

Yes. MGM puts New York-New York under 5 minutes away (0.3 mile), MGM Grand about 10 minutes (0.4 mile) via the New York-New York pedestrian bridge, and Excalibur 10 to 15 minutes (0.6 mile) via the Excalibur Bridge. The arena’s route list gave about 3, 10 and 14 minutes.

Where do you park for T-Mobile Arena?

In a prepaid reserved spot in the New York-New York, ARIA or Park MGM garage, bought ahead; the arena says it can’t be bought on site the night of the event. MGM says those garages are prepay-only during arena events, and prices aren’t published in advance.

Does T-Mobile Arena have a clear bag policy?

The arena’s published rule is about size: no bags or backpacks except small personal bags up to 9 x 5 x 2 inches. Binbox lockers on the plaza check bags from $20 each, and there’s no re-entry, so leave anything bigger at your hotel. For concerts, doors generally open 60 minutes before the start; the arena’s A-Z guide has the current rules.

Get your tickets first, then compare hotel totals for your event date with the resort fee and tax included.
