Planet Hollywood is a good hotel for travelers who want shows, shopping and an active pool deck in one place. Standard rooms measure 430 to 450 square feet, the Miracle Mile Shops connect indoors, and PH Live and Criss Angel are on site. It’s a weaker pick for poker players, monorail users and anyone after a quiet, classic resort.
This Planet Hollywood Las Vegas review covers the Caesars resort’s rooms, including the one category sold with a Bellagio fountain view, the rooftop pool deck with its 21+ pool and FlowRider wave machine, and the real costs: there’s no monorail station, no poker room since early 2026 and a resort fee of $54.95 per night plus tax (as of October 2026).
Quick Verdict
Book Planet Hollywood for entertainment under one roof: PH Live, Criss Angel MINDFREAK, Chippendales, the Miracle Mile Shops and a pool deck that opens daily in season. Upgrade to a 585-square-foot Ultra Resort room if the rate gap is small. Skip it if you’ll ride the monorail every day, play poker or want a quieter, classic resort; Paris and Horseshoe, a short walk north, cover those needs. The trade-off is a busy, show-driven atmosphere and Caesars’ higher resort-fee tier.
We built this review from Caesars’ official pages, FAQ and booking engine, checked in October 2026, and we don’t accept free stays; how we review hotels explains the method.
What changed in 2026
- Early 2026: the poker room closed, Casino.org reported; the FAQ sends players to Horseshoe and Caesars Palace.
- Sept. 21, 2026: MJ Live moved into the Saxe Theater in the Miracle Mile Shops, the Review-Journal reported.
- Sept. 22, 2026: Caesars stockholders approved the company’s sale to Fertitta Entertainment; regulators still had to sign off in October.
- Oct. 3, 2026: the Scorpions’ PH Live residency ended.
Location
Planet Hollywood sits at 3667 Las Vegas Blvd South. Time Out’s 2026 Strip guide makes it the southern end of the center Strip, the dense core that includes the Bellagio fountains, Caesars Palace and the LINQ Promenade. Paris (3655) and Horseshoe (3645) are just up the boulevard, and the hotel’s FAQ lists Caesars Palace, Flamingo, The LINQ and Harrah’s as walkable.
The Miracle Mile Shops are part of the resort and connected indoors, with more than 1.2 million square feet and 170-plus tenants. The south-end spot helps on event nights, too: T-Mobile Arena’s route list (now offline; last captured in December 2025) put Planet Hollywood about 16 minutes away on foot, and our guide to hotels near T-Mobile Arena compares closer options. For the bigger area decision, see our where-to-stay guide.

The site opened in 1962 as the Tallyho, became the Aladdin in 1966, was rebuilt as a new Aladdin in 2000 and has been Planet Hollywood since 2007.
Rooms
Caesars counts about 2,500 rooms and suites, 231 of them suites. The last major room renovation came in 2017, when today’s “Ultra” categories arrived, and no newer one has been announced. Sizes come from Caesars’ booking engine (checked October 5, 2026), where labels vary slightly between listings.
| Room type | Size | Beds | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ultra Hip Room | 430–450 sq ft | 1 King or 2 Queens | Fountain, Sphere, pool, city or mountain views; no coffee maker |
| Ultra Hip Patio Room | 430–450 sq ft | 1 King or 2 Queens | Patio onto outdoor space next to the pool |
| Ultra Resort Room | 585 sq ft | 1 King or 2 Queens | Double vanity; chaise lounge in the king version |
| Ultra Hip Resort Cabana Room | 585 sq ft | 1 King or 2 Queens | Cabana onto outdoor space next to the pool |
| Ultra Resort Vista Room | 585 sq ft | 1 King | Soaking tub by specialty windows |
| Ultra Hip Strip Suite | 850 sq ft | 1 King | Strip view, round soaking tub |
| Ultra Panorama Suite | 1,255 sq ft | 1 King or 2 Queens | 180-degree Strip views, dining table |
| Boulevard, Apex, penthouse and Spa suites | 1,800+ to 4,080 sq ft | 1 King or 2 Kings | Strip views at Boulevard and Apex; butler service in the penthouses and Spa Suite |
For space, book an Ultra Resort Room: at 585 square feet it’s roughly a third larger than an Ultra Hip room. For romance, the Vista version puts a soaking tub by the window.
Ultra Hip rooms keep the extras basic: a mini fridge, 42-inch TV, desk, safe and Wi-Fi for two devices, but no coffee maker. The Panorama and Boulevard suites add one, plus robes.
Which Planet Hollywood rooms see the Bellagio fountains?
Book the Ultra Hip Room in its “Dancing Fountains view” version, the only category Caesars sells by fountain view. It measures 430 to 450 square feet with one king or two queens. Other categories don’t promise the fountains, and Caesars doesn’t say how much of the Bellagio show each room sees, so book that exact category.
Most suites are sold by Strip views. The Ultra Hip Room also comes in a Sphere-view version, labeled “LED Spherical Structure”; our guide to hotels near Sphere covers closer options, and our roundup of fountain-view rooms in Las Vegas compares every hotel that sells the view.

Beds
Standard rooms come with one king or two queens (Ultra Hip rooms list pillow-top mattresses), most suites with one king, and the two-bedroom penthouses and Spa Suite with two kings. Per the FAQ, two-queen rooms sleep up to four and king rooms two or three. Children 17 and under stay free with a parent, and rollaways, cribs and connecting rooms are available on request. Suite occupancy is confirmed at booking.
Bathrooms
Even Ultra Hip rooms have a separate tub and shower, with a single vanity and Gilchrist & Soames products, though no robes. Ultra Resort and Cabana rooms add a double vanity, and Vista rooms put the soaking tub by the window. The Strip Suite has an oversized round soaking tub, and the Two Bedroom Spa Suite devotes a whole level to a jetted tub overlooking the Strip, a multi-head walk-in shower, a steam room and a sauna. Select accessible rooms have roll-in showers and grab bars.
Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.
Pools
The Scene Pool Deck is on the sixth-floor roof: the North Pool is for all ages, the South Pool is 21+, and both are 3 feet 6 inches deep. The draw is the FlowRider, which Caesars calls the Strip’s only free-standing wave rider. Riders must be 13 or older and at least 42 inches tall to bodyboard or 48 inches to surf, and day passes are sold.
The deck is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 31 cabanas and daybeds to rent, and the FAQ says access is free for guests and the public. The 2026 season was under way by February 27, and Caesars hasn’t posted a closing date, so check before a late-fall or winter trip.
Pool à Paris, by contrast, is a two-acre, all-ages deck with no 21+ section. Our Paris vs Planet Hollywood comparison weighs the two decks, and our ranking of Las Vegas hotels with pools covers the bigger complexes.
Restaurants and bars
- Gordon Ramsay Burger: 200 seats, with a Wellington Burger added in summer 2026.
- Strip House: the resort’s steakhouse.
- Caramella: Tao Group’s Italian restaurant and lounge; the Caramella Hidden Lounge speakeasy adds DJs Thursday to Sunday.
- Casual: P.F. Chang’s, YOLOS Mexican Grill, Cafe Hollywood and a 24-hour Earl of Sandwich.
The bars are all 21+: 50 Cent’s Candy Shop in front of PH Live, Extra Lounge, Purple Zebra, Glass Bar and the Ringer Bar sports bar.
Casino
The casino has 86 table games and more than 950 slots, from penny machines to $1, plus Pulse Arena and Roll To Win Craps interactive games. Caesars lists it at more than 100,000 square feet.
The hotel bills its non-smoking slot area, between the Caesars Rewards center and YOLOS, as the city’s first. Elsewhere smoking is allowed in designated casino areas, while rooms, restaurants, bars and most public spaces are non-smoking.
The Caesars Race & Sportsbook, across from Earl of Sandwich, opens at 8 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends and closes at 10 p.m. (11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday). Poker players must walk: Planet Hollywood closed its poker room in early 2026, Casino.org reported, and the FAQ points players to Horseshoe’s 18-table World Series of Poker room and to Caesars Palace.
Entertainment and nightlife
Shows are the reason to book here. This is Caesars’ official list as of October 5, 2026:
- Criss Angel MINDFREAK in the Criss Angel Theater, which also hosts Alice Cooper & Criss Angel: Welcome to Our Nightmare, with added dates on Nov. 29 and Dec. 6, 2026.
- Chippendales, adults only, in the Chippendales Theater.
- PH Live: Jeff Dunham: Artificial Intelligence on select nights, Jeezy: The Legend of The Snowman (a limited-time residency) and one-night concerts, including Empire of the Sun and Yandel.
- National Finals Rodeo week (Dec. 3–12, 2026): Jeff Foxworthy & Larry the Cable Guy, Bailey Zimmerman and Koe Wetzel.
MJ Live isn’t on that list, but it moved into the Saxe Theater in the Miracle Mile Shops on Sept. 21, 2026, playing Monday to Saturday at 7 p.m., the Review-Journal reported. The Scorpions’ PH Live residency ended Oct. 3, 2026, so check the official Planet Hollywood shows page before you plan around a date. There’s no nightclub on property: late nights mean the DJs at Caramella Hidden Lounge or 50 Cent’s Candy Shop, and the FAQ points clubbers to OMNIA at Caesars Palace.
Amenities
- Spa: the FAQ lists Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara (18+), and the hotel page gives it 32,000 square feet and 35 treatment rooms.
- Fitness center: 1,800 square feet, open 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. and covered by the resort fee.
- Pets: PetStay rooms take up to two dogs of 50 pounds or less each, for a nightly fee and a refundable deposit (amounts not published).
- Extras: the Miracle Mile Shops, free luggage storage and 88,000 square feet of meeting space.
Good to know
Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m., and you must be 21 with a government photo ID. Expect a daily incidental hold on your card (the amount isn’t published), and cancel at least 48 hours before arrival to get your first-night deposit back. Here’s how Las Vegas hotel deposits work.
Parking
Parking is free only for some guests. Self-parking is in a 24/7 garage reached from Las Vegas Boulevard, and valet is at the main porte cochere, which has four EV chargers. Both are paid, and Caesars doesn’t publish the rates on Planet Hollywood’s pages.
Caesars Rewards Platinum, Diamond and Seven Stars members park free. Nevada residents may get complimentary self-parking time with a valid ID: one hour here, per a KLAS report, versus up to three at most Caesars resorts, and not during events. Paying guests get in-and-out privileges. Our Las Vegas parking fees guide collects third-party rate reports.
Getting around: transportation
- Rideshare and taxis: Uber, Lyft, taxis and shuttles all use the main porte cochere at the Las Vegas Boulevard entrance, and taxis wait there 24/7.
- Monorail: there’s no station. Horseshoe & Paris is 10 to 15 minutes away on foot through Paris, per the FAQ. Trains run every 4 to 8 minutes from 7 a.m., and a single ride costs $6.25 at the machine or $5.75 online (as of October 2026). Our Las Vegas Monorail guide lists every stop.
- Airport: there’s no shuttle. The airport is about 4 miles away (10 to 15 minutes by car), and the zone’s taxi flat fare is $26.25, plus $3 by card (as of October 2026).
- Grand Prix (Nov. 19–21, 2026): the circuit runs on Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue and closes fully during “hot track” sessions. The organizer’s pedestrian map labels Planet Hollywood among the properties around it, but no official source confirms track views from its rooms; see our Las Vegas Grand Prix hotels guide.
Resort fee
The resort fee is $54.95 per night plus tax (as of October 2026), the same as Paris and Caesars Palace and $5 more than Horseshoe and Flamingo. With Clark County’s 13.38% room tax, that’s about $62.30 a night. It covers Wi-Fi for two devices, fitness center access for two guests daily and unlimited local and toll-free calls, and the FAQ says Caesars Rewards Diamond and Seven Stars members don’t pay it.
Our guide to Las Vegas resort fees compares the Strip, and the official Planet Hollywood FAQ has the current terms.

Paris charges the same fee but adds an indoor route to the monorail, a two-acre all-ages rooftop pool and 38 balcony rooms. If you’re torn, our Paris vs Planet Hollywood breakdown decides it by trip type, and our Paris Las Vegas review explains its two towers.
Horseshoe is the value play, with a $49.95 fee, 450-square-foot rooms, a monorail station and the WSOP poker room, as long as you can live with a pool that opens only Friday to Sunday. Read our Horseshoe Las Vegas review. Flamingo costs less still; see below.

Paris Las Vegas

- Rooftop pool
- Balcony rooms (Versailles Tower)
Themed center-Strip resort beneath an Eiffel Tower replica, with a rooftop pool, balcony rooms in the Versailles Tower and its own monorail station.

Horseshoe Las Vegas

- Monorail station
The former Bally's at the center-Strip Four Corners, with large standard rooms, a poker-focused casino and a lower resort fee than its Caesars neighbors.

Planet Hollywood vs Flamingo
| Planet Hollywood | Flamingo | |
|---|---|---|
| Price level | Mid-range | Budget |
| Resort fee (plus tax) | $54.95 | $49.95 |
| Standard rooms | Ultra Hip, 430–450 sq ft | Flamingo, FAB and GO rooms, 350 sq ft |
| Pools | 21+ South Pool, all-ages North Pool, FlowRider | 21+ GO Pool and all-ages Family Pool |
| Monorail | None | Flamingo & Caesars Palace station on property |
Choose Planet Hollywood for a bigger standard room, shows in the building, the Miracle Mile Shops and a pool deck with a wave machine.
Choose Flamingo if price comes first: it sits in a lower price tier, has a monorail station, the free Wildlife Habitat and a Family Pool with a waterslide (Friday to Sunday, 48-inch minimum). Expect smaller rooms, and note that Flamingo is introducing a redesigned lobby, a new lobby bar and a reimagined Bugsy’s Bar in 2026, with no completion date published. Our Flamingo Las Vegas review covers it in full.
Is it worth staying here?
Yes, if you’ll use what’s in the building. Planet Hollywood earns its rate for show-goers, shoppers and pool groups, and its 585-square-foot Ultra Resort rooms beat the standard rooms at Paris, Horseshoe and Flamingo for space. It’s harder to justify if you mostly need a bed near the monorail or the lowest total cost: Horseshoe has a station and a lower fee, and Paris charges the same fee with an indoor route to the trains.
Add the resort fee, tax and any parking to the nightly rate before you compare. Prices vary according to travel dates and availability, and our list of the best hotels in Las Vegas shows what a bigger budget buys.

FAQ
What is the Planet Hollywood resort fee?
The resort fee is $54.95 per night plus tax (as of October 2026), or about $62.30 with Clark County’s 13.38% room tax. It covers Wi-Fi for two devices, fitness center access for two guests daily and unlimited local and toll-free calls. According to the hotel’s FAQ, Caesars Rewards Diamond and Seven Stars members don’t pay it.
Is Planet Hollywood connected to Paris?
Not indoors. Neither hotel lists an indoor connection to the other, although they’re close neighbors at 3667 and 3655 Las Vegas Blvd South. Planet Hollywood’s FAQ routes guests through Paris to the Horseshoe & Paris monorail station, a walk of 10 to 15 minutes. At Planet Hollywood itself, the indoor link is the Miracle Mile Shops.
Is Planet Hollywood part of Marriott?
No. Planet Hollywood is a Caesars Entertainment hotel, so its perks, such as free parking for Platinum members and the resort-fee waiver for Diamond and Seven Stars, run through Caesars Rewards. The Marriott Bonvoy tie-up in Las Vegas is MGM’s, and Marriott’s MGM Collection list includes no Caesars hotel (checked Oct. 13, 2026).
Is Planet Hollywood non-smoking?
Partly. Rooms, restaurants, bars and most public spaces are non-smoking, and the hotel bills its non-smoking slot area, between the Caesars Rewards center and YOLOS, as the city’s first. Smoking is still allowed in designated casino areas, so expect some smoke on the gaming floor.
Is Planet Hollywood Las Vegas kid friendly?
Reasonably, for a casino resort. Children 17 and under stay free with a parent, cribs and rollaways are available on request, the North Pool is open to all ages, and kids 13 and up can ride the FlowRider if they meet the height minimums. The 21+ South Pool, the bars and Chippendales are off-limits, and an adult 21 or older must check in.
Is Planet Hollywood closing?
No closure has been reported. Caesars Entertainment agreed in May 2026 to be acquired by Fertitta Entertainment; Caesars stockholders approved the deal on Sept. 22, 2026, but it still awaited antitrust and gaming regulators in October. Casinos.com reported in May that Planet Hollywood is in the rumor mill as a property that could be sold if the deal requires divestitures, which would mean a sale, not a closure.
