Hotels near Las Vegas airport earn their keep on the nights a flight runs your schedule: a late landing, a 6 a.m. departure, a long layover. Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), still called McCarran on some older hotel pages, sits about 2 miles from Las Vegas Boulevard, according to the LVCVA, so the South Strip resorts are about as close as the airport-area chains. What separates them is the free airport shuttle: the airport chains below run one, and the big Strip resorts we checked don’t.

Quick answer

No hotel sits inside Harry Reid’s terminals. For a free airport shuttle around the clock, book Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas Airport, Homewood Suites or Spark by Hilton (the budget pick); Silver Sevens adds a casino. If the trip is about the Strip, Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand are in the airport’s cheapest taxi zone, at a $22.25 flat fare (as of October 2026).

Mandalay Bay and the Four Seasons share a campus but quote different distances, so treat the hotels’ figures as rough. We checked each hotel’s own shuttle page in October 2026; our review method explains how we source claims like these.

What changed in 2026

  • April 9, 2026: airport taxi flat fares rose under the Nevada Taxicab Authority’s fuel-surcharge order, to $22.25, $26.25 and $30.25 by zone.
  • Aug. 23, 2026: RTC’s RED Line, a 24-hour bus rapid transit route, replaced Route 109 at Terminal 1, and the Centennial Express stopped serving the airport.
  • Through December 2026: the airport warns of lane closures in its connector tunnels for repaving.

Is there a hotel inside Las Vegas airport?

No. No hotel sits inside Harry Reid International Airport or is attached to its terminals. The nearest hotels are 1 to 2 miles away in a straight line (our calculation), and three airport chains, Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites and Spark by Hilton, run free 24-hour shuttles. South Strip resorts such as Mandalay Bay, about 2 miles away, sit in the cheapest taxi zone at $22.25.

The Club LAS, which some maps show near the terminals, is an airport lounge, not a hotel. You can’t even walk between the two terminals, per the airport, so every hotel on this page means a shuttle, taxi or rideshare.

The closest real options split in two. Airport-area chains (Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, Spark and the DoubleTree) run free shuttles. The South Strip resorts are just as close on the map and sit in the cheapest taxi zone, but MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and W Las Vegas say they run no airport shuttle. Older lists still recommend the Tropicana, which closed on April 2, 2024.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Hilton’s page shows no resort charge, so it and Spark are the only hotels near the airport we checked with both free parking and no resort charge listed.

Watch out for: Hilton lists smoking rooms, so ask for a non-smoking one, and a shuttle on the hour means up to an hour’s wait if you just miss one.

3. Spark by Hilton Las Vegas Airport: Best Budget Airport Hotel

Parking is free.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

The hotel now carries Wyndham’s Wyndham Garden name, and Wyndham lists the shuttle from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily; the hotel says the schedule is subject to change. There’s a heated lagoon-style pool and a sportsbook.

Watch out for: a resort fee reported at $46 a night (as of October 2026), a casino that isn’t smoke-free (guest rooms are non-smoking), and no shuttle for red-eyes outside those hours.

5. DoubleTree Las Vegas Airport: Best for Park-and-Fly

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

It’s 100% non-smoking, has an outdoor pool and lists no resort charge on its Hilton page.

The hotel says the ride typically takes 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

You get a full casino resort at the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard: 2,100 rooms, a 64-lane bowling center, an equestrian arena and free garage, surface and valet parking. The published shuttle schedule shows hotel departures from 6 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. and airport pickups from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Watch out for: the shuttle isn’t free once you count the fee, red-eyes fall outside the schedule, and the spa is closed for renovation. Terminal 3 arrivals transfer to Terminal 1 first.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

MGM puts Allegiant Stadium less than half a mile away, so it doubles as a game-day base; see hotels near Allegiant Stadium. Our Mandalay Bay review covers the rooms.

Watch out for: no hotel airport shuttle, a $50 resort fee plus tax and $20-a-day self-parking for hotel guests (as of October 2026). Guests say it feels removed from the center Strip.

8. MGM Grand: Best for a Strip Trip Without a Car

Which Las Vegas hotels have a free airport shuttle?

Fewer than the “free shuttle” filters on booking sites suggest. These are the hotels whose own pages describe an airport shuttle, as of October 2026:

HotelShuttle termsHoursCost
Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas AirportFree airport shuttle24 hoursFree
Homewood Suites Las Vegas AirportComplimentary shuttle, leaving at the top of each hour24 hours, per HiltonFree

South PointHotel guests only; reserve by phone, no same-day bookingsAirport pickups 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.In the $33 resort fee
M ResortReservations requiredNot listedIn the $39.99 resort fee

Hours are as the hotels or their brands publish them and can change; Homewood’s 24-hour wording comes from Hilton’s page as captured in April 2026, so confirm the schedule when you book.

Silverton’s shuttle picks up at the airport’s Ground Level (Level Zero) and at the hotel’s valet; all registered guests must be 21, and its resort fee is reported at about $41 a night (as of October 2026).

No free shuttle: MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, W Las Vegas (the former Delano) and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas say they don’t run one. Westgate points guests to LASxpress, a third-party company; Alexis Park says it “does not offer shuttle services”; and SAHARA’s airport partner, LAS Xpress, charges from $18 per person one way. The airport’s own buses and shuttles page doesn’t list hotel courtesy shuttles, and other airport-area hotels that mention one in their Visit Las Vegas descriptions, such as La Quinta Airport South and Embassy Suites on University Center Drive, couldn’t be confirmed for 2026, so call before you count on it.

When a South Strip resort beats an airport hotel

Book an airport hotel when the flight is the point: a late arrival, an early departure or a layover. Book a South Strip resort when the Strip is the point. Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand, the Four Seasons and W Las Vegas all sit in Zone 1, and from them you can walk, take the free tram or ride the Monorail, which suits Las Vegas without a car; from an airport hotel, every night out is a ride each way.

Then compare add-ons, not just room rates (as of October 2026):

Nightly add-onLuxorMGM Grand or Mandalay BayHampton Inn & Suites AirportHomewood Suites Airport
Resort fee with 13.38% tax$51.02 ($45 × 1.1338)$56.69 ($50 × 1.1338)None listedNone listed
Self-parking$20$20$7Free
Total if you drive$71.02 ($51.02 + $20)$76.69 ($56.69 + $20)$7$0

With a car, Luxor beats Hampton on price only if its room costs more than $64.02 a night less ($71.02 minus $7). Without one, the gap shrinks to the $51.02 fee, but you’ll pay for rides to the Strip from the airport hotel. MGM Rewards Pearl members and above park free at MGM resorts, and Gold and above get the resort fee waived on up to two direct bookings per trip. Our Luxor review covers its pyramid and tower rooms, and our resort fee guide explains what those fees include.

Getting from the airport to your hotel

Taxis from the airport to Strip hotels charge flat zone fares (as of October 2026): $22.25 to Zone 1, from Sunset Road north to Tropicana Avenue, $26.25 to Zone 2 and $30.25 to Zone 3, plus 3% tax and $3 by card. Airport-area hotels aren’t on the zone sheet, so a taxi there runs on the meter. Uber and Lyft pick up in the parking garages: Level 2 at Terminal 1 and the Valet Level at Terminal 3. Our guide to getting from the airport to the Strip has the full fare table and RTC bus routes, and our Vegas Loop guide explains its limited airport service to the north-end hotels.

Early flights, rental cars and park-and-fly

  • Red-eyes: only Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites (on the hour) and Spark list 24-hour shuttles. Silver Sevens starts at 5 a.m. and South Point at 6 a.m. Taxis wait 24/7 at the South Strip resorts’ main entrances, and RTC’s RED Line runs 24 hours from Terminal 1’s Zero Level. Landing hours before check-in? Our guide to early check-in in Las Vegas covers fees and luggage storage.
  • Rental cars: the Rent-A-Car Center houses 10 companies, is open 24/7 and runs continuous shuttles from the terminals, per the LVCVA. Spark is half a mile from it.
  • Park-and-fly: the DoubleTree offers a Park and Fly package for extended parking; our guide to Las Vegas parking fees compares hotel parking.
  • Leave early: the airport warns of lane closures in its connector tunnels through December 2026.

Where to stay near the airport on a budget

Spark is the leanest choice: a budget brand with free parking, breakfast and a 24-hour shuttle, and no resort charge listed. Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn & Suites aren’t budget brands, but skipping the resort fee and paying little or nothing to park can make them cheaper overall. Silver Sevens is a budget casino hotel, though its resort fee, reported at $46 (as of October 2026), eats into the savings.

On the Strip side, Luxor and Excalibur are the budget picks in Zone 1, each with a $45 resort fee plus tax (as of October 2026). For more options, see our guides to cheap Las Vegas hotels and Las Vegas hotels without resort fees, or compare neighborhoods in where to stay in Las Vegas.

FAQ

Which Las Vegas hotels have a free airport shuttle?

Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas Airport, Homewood Suites Las Vegas Airport and Spark by Hilton run 24-hour shuttles; the DoubleTree Las Vegas Airport runs one on request; and Silver Sevens and Silverton run free shuttles for hotel guests, Silverton by reservation. South Point and M Resort include theirs in the resort fee. None of the big Strip resorts we checked runs a free one.

Does MGM Grand have an airport shuttle?

No. MGM Grand has no hotel airport shuttle, though its concierge can book a shuttle or limo. It’s in taxi Zone 1, a $22.25 flat fare from the airport (as of October 2026), plus 3% tax and $3 by card. For the ride back, rideshare pickup is at the Rideshare Lounge on the ground floor of the self-parking garage.

What is the closest hotel to Las Vegas airport?

In a straight line, Candlewood Suites and Holiday Inn Express & Suites on East Tropicana Avenue are the closest, about 1.2 to 1.3 miles from Terminal 1 (our calculation from OpenStreetMap data; two closer listings may no longer operate). Among hotels with a free 24-hour shuttle, Hampton Inn & Suites is closest, about 1.5 miles from Terminal 3. By the hotels’ own words, Silver Sevens (“less than five minutes”) and the DoubleTree (“about five minutes”) are among the quickest drives.

Can you walk from Las Vegas airport to a hotel?

Not practically. Even the closest hotels are more than a mile from the terminals in a straight line, and the walking route is longer than that. The airport says you can’t walk between its own two terminals, so plan on a hotel shuttle, a taxi, rideshare or RTC’s RED Line and Route 108 from Terminal 1.

Which hotels near Las Vegas airport have free parking?

Homewood Suites (for registered guests), Spark, Silver Sevens, Silverton and South Point park guests free, and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas offers free self-parking and valet. Hampton Inn & Suites charges $7 a day and the DoubleTree $12 (as of October 2026). The South Strip MGM resorts charge hotel guests $20 a day unless you’re an MGM Rewards Pearl member or higher.

Should I stay near the airport or on the Strip?

Stay near the airport for a one-night stopover, a late arrival or an early flight, ideally at a hotel with a 24-hour shuttle. For a Strip vacation, a South Strip resort usually works better: it’s in the cheapest taxi zone from the airport and puts you on the Strip itself, though you’ll pay a resort fee.
