Venetian vs Wynn is a choice between neighbors with different priorities: The Venetian sells space and shows, with a suite as its standard room and an indoor bridge to Sphere, while Wynn sells polish, with Forbes Five-Star suites and spa, a golf course and free self-parking. One pedestrian bridge links them and both charge a $55-plus-tax resort fee (as of October 2026); our Venetian Las Vegas review and Wynn Las Vegas review cover each resort in full.

Quick answer

  • Best overall for a luxury trip: Wynn. Forbes rates its Tower Suites and spa Five-Star, there’s a golf course on property, and registered guests self-park free.
  • Best for families and groups: The Venetian. Every standard room is a suite, and the 750-square-foot Luxury Two Queen Suite is billed as the largest standard suite on the Strip.
  • Best for Sphere shows: The Venetian, which has a direct indoor bridge to the venue.
  • Best for couples: Wynn, for the Five-Star Spa at Wynn, Wing Lei and dinner by the Lake of Dreams.
  • Best spa: Wynn for Five-Star treatments; The Venetian’s Canyon Ranch for sheer size and a published day-pass price.
  • Best for drivers: Wynn. Self-parking is free for registered guests, against $20 a day at The Venetian.

Location: one bridge apart

Both resorts sit on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard. The Venetian is at 3355 S Las Vegas Blvd, with its sister tower, The Palazzo, next door at 3325; Wynn is at 3131, just north across Sands Avenue, sharing its address with Encore.

Can you walk from the Venetian to the Wynn? Yes. From The Venetian tower, the route runs through the resort to The Palazzo, then over the county pedestrian bridge across Sands Avenue into Wynn. Clark County describes its bridges as glass-walled with elevators and escalators, not as enclosed or air-conditioned, so treat the crossing as outdoors. Neither resort publishes a walking time; our guide to connected hotels in Las Vegas maps every link.

Sphere is The Venetian’s big edge. It runs a direct, indoor, climate-controlled bridge through The Venetian Expo to the venue, and Visit Las Vegas says to allow roughly 15 minutes from the Venetian entry, longer when crowds exit together. From Wynn, Visit Las Vegas points to the convention and ballroom hallway as a lesser-known route to the pedestrian bridge leading to Sphere, without a time. Our guide to hotels near the Sphere compares the routes.

For conventions, The Venetian Expo is on property, while Wynn guests can ride the Vegas Loop from Encore to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Neither resort has a Monorail station.

Grand Prix week

Turns 10 and 11 of the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit run between Wynn and The Venetian, and the race is Nov. 19–21, 2026. Check closures around Sands Avenue before booking those dates.

On square footage, the entry kings are nearly a tie: 650 at The Venetian, 640 at Wynn. The difference is layout. The Venetian’s remodeled Luxury King Suite has a sunken living room with a sleeper sofa and a 130-square-foot marble bath. Wynn’s room has floor-to-ceiling windows and tablet controls, and guests single out the beds; for a separate sitting area, book Encore’s 745-square-foot room. For four people, The Venetian’s 750-square-foot two-queen suite beats Wynn’s 640.

The Venetian tower’s suites were redesigned in 2024–25, and reviewers call them gorgeous; Palazzo suites are bigger but older, with upgrades starting in 2026. Reviewers note there’s no in-room coffee maker at The Venetian, and you must be 21 to book. At Wynn, the complaint is add-on charges, including the minibar.

Both resorts are rated Four-Star by Forbes Travel Guide, The Palazzo included. Wynn’s edge is the Tower Suites, rated Five-Star, as are Encore’s: entry Tower Suites match standard rooms in size but add separate registration, a private pool, a $50 daily breakfast credit and free valet.

Pools

The Venetian has two hotel-guest-only decks, both open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.: the two-acre Venetian Pool Deck, with plunge-pool cabanas, and The Palazzo Pool Deck, with seasonally heated water. The quieter Pool Garden stays open until 10 p.m., and the resort says “it’s always swimming season.” TAO Beach Dayclub is strictly 21+, Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; TAO Group listed events through Oct. 11 and hasn’t published a season end date.

The Pool at Wynn is a garden-style resort pool, open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Tower Suites guests have a private pool. Encore’s resort pool keeps the same hours, but its European Pool and Jacuzzi were listed as closed on Oct. 9, 2026. Encore Beach Club, the 21+ dayclub with pools heated to 80 degrees, listed events through Oct. 24.

Which has the better pool? The Venetian for longer hours, two decks and a year-round promise. Wynn for a garden setting, Encore Beach Club in season or a private Tower Suites pool. Wynn guests complain about paying extra for umbrellas and seating.

Spas: Wynn’s Five-Star vs Canyon Ranch

The Spa at Wynn is rated Five-Star by Forbes, opens daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for guests 18 and over, and sells admission passes to guests not booking treatments (Wynn doesn’t post the price). The Spa at Encore is also Five-Star, but its sauna, steam room and wet areas are temporarily unavailable, with treatments $45 cheaper meanwhile (as of October 2026).

Canyon Ranch at The Venetian is Forbes Four-Star but far bigger, at 134,000 square feet, with Aquavana thermal experiences. Day passes cost hotel guests $100 Monday through Thursday and $150 Friday through Sunday (as of October 2026), subject to availability. Choose Wynn for a top-rated treatment, Canyon Ranch for a full spa-and-fitness day. Our best spas in Las Vegas guide has more.

Dining

The Venetian wins on depth. COTE Korean Steakhouse arrived in October 2025 with a 17,000-square-foot room and bills itself as America’s first and only Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse, and Bazaar Meat by José Andrés moved over in September 2025. CUT by Wolfgang Puck is Forbes Four-Star, Bouchon and Mott 32 are Forbes Recommended, and WAKUDA, HaSalon, estiatorio Milos and Via Via Food Hall add range.

Wynn wins on ratings. Wing Lei is Forbes Five-Star, SW Steakhouse and Mizumi are Four-Star, and Sartiano’s Italian Steakhouse opened in March 2026 overlooking the golf course. At Encore, Sinatra is Four-Star and Casa Playa serves coastal Mexican; Jardin closed permanently in 2026. Wynn’s list also includes The Buffet, with a seafood dinner daily from 1 to 9 p.m. With the bridge between them, you can eat at both, though guests at both flag high prices.

Casino and poker

The Venetian Resort has two casino floors, one per tower, with a poker room, the Palazzo High-Limit Lounge and a sportsbook. Smoking is allowed only on the casino floor, and all suites are non-smoking. Wynn’s casino has a poker room and a race and sports book, Encore adds high-limit gaming, and smoking is allowed on the casino floor, at pool and patio areas and on designated hotel floors.

Which poker room is better?

We couldn’t confirm a current table count for either room, so there’s no fair way to crown one. The Venetian moved its poker room into a 14,000-square-foot space in the Grand Canal Shoppes in 2023, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Wynn’s room runs cash games and tournaments, and Wynn validates self-parking for poker players, which helps if you’re staying elsewhere and driving over.

Loyalty may matter more: The Venetian earns World of Hyatt points on stays booked through Hyatt channels, while Wynn Rewards earns tier credits only from rated play.

Entertainment and nightlife

The Venetian has the deeper calendar. Sphere is over the bridge, with The Wizard of Oz at Sphere and a Metallica residency running Oct. 1, 2026, to March 13, 2027. On property, Shin Lim: LIMITLESS plays The Palazzo Theatre for ages 4 and up, Spiegelworld’s 18+ Atomic Saloon Show runs Tuesday through Saturday, and The Venetian Theatre hosts Earth, Wind & Fire (Oct. 16–31) and The Book of Mormon (Nov. 4–15, 2026). Gondola rides cost $39 per person shared or $156 private (as of October 2026).

Wynn’s production show is gone for now: Awakening played its final performance on Oct. 10, 2026, and Wynn has told the press a new, still-unnamed production will open in the theater in 2027. Encore Theater books headliners, with fall 2026 listings including Lionel Richie, Tom Jones and Nate Bargatze. The free Lake of Dreams show runs every half hour after dusk, and XS Nightclub (21+) is closed for renovation this fall, with a New Year’s Eve reopening reported.

The Venetian’s resort fee covers gym access for two at Canyon Ranch, in-suite internet, boarding-pass printing, unlimited local and toll-free calls and PressReader. Wynn’s stay terms set its fee at $55 plus tax for reservations booked on or after Jan. 15, 2025, and Wynn lists self-parking for up to two vehicles, Wi-Fi, daily bottled water, calls and gym access for two among the inclusions.

With the Strip’s 13.38% room tax, either fee comes to about $62.36 a night. Add The Venetian’s $20 guest self-parking and the fixed extras reach about $82.36 ($62.36 + $20), or $60 more than Wynn over three nights with a car. Venetian Rewards Ruby and Diamond members get the fee waived on one suite per stay when booking direct, and World of Hyatt waives it on award nights only; Wynn Rewards lists no waiver. Our guide to Las Vegas resort fees explains the rest.

Parking

The Venetian charges registered hotel guests $20 a day to self-park, seven days a week, and $40 for valet. Non-guests pay $20 Monday through Thursday and $25 Friday through Sunday, event rates may apply during big events such as Sphere headliner shows, and Nevada residents get three free hours outside event pricing. Venetian Rewards Sapphire members park free, Ruby members get free valet, and Hyatt elite status doesn’t include parking.

At Wynn, self-parking is complimentary for registered Wynn and Encore guests, subject to availability. Valet is $40 a day with no re-entry and free for Tower Suites guests; visitors get three free hours, then pay $25 a day. Our Las Vegas parking fees guide compares other resorts.

Price positioning

Neither resort is reliably cheaper. Both sit in the luxury tier, and rates swing with the day of the week, events and the season, so price the same dates at both. The difference is what the rate buys: a suite with a living area at The Venetian, or a 640-square-foot room plus free parking at Wynn. Both charge $50 a night per extra guest (13 and older at The Venetian), and Wynn Rewards, free to join, offers member rates up to 30% off rooms. Our luxury hotels in Las Vegas ranking puts both in context.

Which is better for couples?

Wynn. The Spa at Wynn is Five-Star and open, Wing Lei and SW Steakhouse’s Lake of Dreams patio make the dinner, and guests praise the gardens and flowers. Couples who want space should book The Venetian instead: a sunken living room, a Roman tub and a private gondola ride.

Which is better for families?

The Venetian. The 750-square-foot Luxury Two Queen Suite gives a family room to spread out, the decks have no adults-only area listed, and kids get gondola rides, Madame Tussauds and Shin Lim’s show for ages 4 and up. The fine print: someone 21 or older must book, extra guests 13 and older cost $50 a night, and TAO Beach is strictly 21+. Wynn’s signature extras, from Encore Beach Club to XS and the spa, are adults-only.

Which is better for nightlife?

Wynn for clubbing, The Venetian for shows. Wynn’s campus has Encore Beach Club (seasonal) and XS Nightclub (closed for renovation this fall, with a New Year’s Eve reopening reported), plus Delilah, a supper club with live entertainment. The Venetian has Sphere next door, the Atomic Saloon Show, Voltaire’s rotating residencies and two theaters. Until Wynn’s promised 2027 production opens, its stage is Encore Theater’s headliner calendar.

Which is better for first-time visitors?

The Venetian. The canals, gondolas and Grand Canal Shoppes are a sight in themselves, Sphere is over the bridge and TI is across the boulevard, so a first trip has plenty within walking distance. Wynn is the better pick on a return trip, when the spa and the service matter more than the spectacle.

Should you stay at Wynn, Encore or The Venetian?

Encore is Wynn’s roomier tower: 745-square-foot rooms with a marble tub, Encore Beach Club, XS (once it reopens) and the Loop station, on the same fee and free parking. The Palazzo is The Venetian Resort’s tower closest to Wynn, with 720-square-foot king suites in older decor. If Bellagio is your third option, see Bellagio vs Wynn and Bellagio vs Venetian.

Which should you book?

Choose The Venetian if:

  • You want a suite with a living area, or you’re a family or group sharing one room.
  • You have Sphere tickets or a convention at The Venetian Expo.
  • You want pools open into the evening and a year-round deck.
  • You collect World of Hyatt points.

Choose Wynn if:

  • You want a Forbes Five-Star spa or Tower Suite.
  • You’re driving and want free self-parking.
  • You want Encore Beach Club in season, XS once it reopens or a round of golf on property.
  • You’d rather have gardens and the Lake of Dreams than canals and a shopping mall.

Couples and luxury-first travelers should book Wynn; families, groups and Sphere ticket holders should book The Venetian. Prices vary according to travel dates and availability, and our best hotels in Las Vegas ranking shows where both land.

FAQ

Is the Venetian or Wynn better?

Wynn is better for a luxury-focused stay, with Forbes Five-Star Tower Suites and spa, a golf course and free self-parking for registered guests. The Venetian is better for space, families and Sphere shows, since every standard room is a suite and an indoor bridge leads to the venue. Both hotels are Forbes Four-Star and charge a $55-plus-tax resort fee (as of October 2026).

Is the Wynn or Venetian nicer?

Wynn has more Forbes Five-Star ratings on property, plus gardens and a golf course that guests praise. The Venetian’s remodeled suites are recently redesigned and bigger, and reviewers call them gorgeous, but the resort is very large, and long walks are a standard complaint. Pick polish at Wynn or space and spectacle at The Venetian.

Is the Wynn or Venetian more expensive?

Neither is consistently more expensive on the room rate; both are luxury resorts whose prices change with dates and demand. On fixed extras, The Venetian costs more if you drive: both charge $55 plus tax a night in resort fees, but The Venetian charges hotel guests $20 a day to self-park, while Wynn’s self-parking is free for registered guests (as of October 2026).

Can you walk from the Venetian to the Wynn?

Yes. Walk through The Venetian Resort to The Palazzo, then cross the pedestrian bridge over Sands Avenue into Wynn. Clark County doesn’t describe its bridges as enclosed or air-conditioned, so expect an outdoor crossing. Neither resort publishes a walking time; from The Venetian tower, allow extra time, since the bridge starts at The Palazzo.

Which has the better pool, the Venetian or Wynn?

The Venetian has the better everyday pools: two guest-only decks open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., a Pool Garden open until 10 p.m. and a promise that it’s always swimming season. Wynn is better for a garden-style pool, a private Tower Suites pool or the 21+ Encore Beach Club in season.
