If everyone in your group is 21 or older and you’d rather stay on Fremont Street than on the Strip, Circa is the first downtown hotel to price. This Circa Las Vegas review comes down to one trade-off: you get downtown’s newest rooms, a pool amphitheater that runs all year and a sportsbook Circa bills as the world’s largest, but you also pay the highest fees downtown, a $50 nightly resort fee plus $25 a day to self-park (as of October 2026).
Quick Verdict
Book Circa for an adults-only trip built around sports, Stadium Swim and Fremont Street nights, especially if you won’t have a car. Skip it if anyone in your group is under 21, if you want a bathtub, a poker room or a quiet room, or if you’re driving on a budget: Golden Nugget and The D park hotel guests free and charge lower resort fees.
Location
Circa sits at 8 Fremont St., at the west (Main Street) end of the Fremont Street Experience, the five-block pedestrian mall under the LED canopy, so the free stages and canopy shows are outside the door. Sister hotel Golden Gate is next door, the Plaza is across Main Street, and The D, the third hotel owned by brothers Derek and Greg Stevens, is farther east along Fremont.
Is Circa on the Strip? No. It’s in downtown Las Vegas, and the center Strip is about a 10-minute drive from the middle of downtown, according to the Fremont Street Experience. Our Las Vegas Strip vs downtown comparison weighs the two areas on cost, transit and atmosphere.
The 21+ rule comes first. In the hotel’s words: “Circa Resort & Casino is a 21+ property. All guests must be at least 21 years old to enter, including hotel guests, casino patrons, and visitors to restaurants and bars. Valid ID is required upon entry.” Nobody under 21 gets in, even for dinner with their parents. Our guide to the Las Vegas hotel check-in age explains how that differs from hotels that only require the person checking in to be 21.
Rooms
Circa opened its casino on October 28, 2020, and its hotel tower that December. By Circa’s count the tower has 35 floors (34 with rooms and suites) and 677 rooms and suites, including 66 suites and six Founders Suites. Wikipedia’s tally is lower (618), so older guides may quote other numbers. Sizes below come from Circa’s room and suite pages (checked October 9, 2026); several categories have no published size.
| Room type | Size | Beds | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single King | 439 sq ft | 1 King | Couch, mini fridge, safe, clothing steamer |
| Double King | Not published | 2 Kings | Same bathroom as the Single King |
| Flex King | Not published | 1 King + couch that converts to a second king | Room for a third or fourth guest |
| Platinum Single / Double King | Not published | 1 or 2 Kings | Top five guest-room floors, 10-ft ceilings; up to 2 or 4 guests |
| Circa Studio / Corner Studio | Not published | Not published | Defined living area; sunrise or sunset views |
| Circa Suite | 867 sq ft | 1 King + convertible king couch | Two TVs, wet bar, dining table |
| Circa End Suite | 980 sq ft | 1 King + convertible king couch | Wet bar, dining table |
| Panoramic Sunset / Sunrise Suite | 1,187 sq ft (Sunrise: see note) | See Beds | Floor-to-ceiling windows |
| Founders Suite | 1,830 sq ft | 2 Kings in two bedrooms | Electric fireplace, bar, Strip view |
One size conflict: Circa’s premium-suites page puts the Sunrise Suite at 1,187 square feet, while its booking engine calls it a “1548 square foot suite.” Ask the hotel before paying for the extra space.
You can book the view. Circa’s booking engine sells Stadium Swim view and Strip view versions of several categories, from Single King rooms to the End Suite.
Platinum rooms are the newest product, with suite-level finishes and illuminated mirrors on the top five guest-room floors. The booking engine didn’t offer them, or the Flex King, for a sample mid-October date, so availability varies. For groups, the Founder’s Entourage Suite, listed as available from fall/winter 2026, sleeps up to 10.
Every room has an Alexa in-room concierge, a mini refrigerator and daily housekeeping, but Circa lists no coffee maker or microwave; Jack Pots, the casino cafe, serves Zingerman’s coffee.
Beds
Standard rooms use Serta Prestige mattresses, and the Circa Suite has a Serta Chateau king. The Flex King and the Circa and End suites add a couch that converts into a king, the practical picks for three or four friends. Founders Suites have two kings in two bedrooms, and the Founder’s Entourage Suite pairs a king bedroom with a second bedroom holding two sets of king-size bunk beds.
The Panoramic suites are described inconsistently: the Sunset Suite’s text mentions a king while its list says “Two King Beds,” and the Sunrise Suite lists “One to Two King Beds.” Confirm the setup when you book.
Bathrooms
Every room and suite lists a walk-in shower with a bench, and none lists a bathtub. Standard rooms have a dual vanity; the Circa Suite and End Suite add a separate water closet, with Carner Barcelona products in the Circa Suite. Platinum rooms get premium bath fixtures, and the Founders Suite adds a half bath. If a soaking tub is part of the plan, our romantic hotels in Las Vegas guide points to rooms that have one.

Pools
Stadium Swim is the reason many people book Circa: a 21+ pool amphitheater with six pools on three levels, room for 4,000 people and a 143-foot screen for games and events. Circa posts hours of 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Sunday, “365 days,” and its site showed a 94-degree water temperature on October 9, 2026, so you can swim in winter.
Hotel guests get two complimentary general-admission passes per room per night (“availability subject to change”), and everyone who wants in must be on the reservation. There are 200 first-come chaise lounges, plus 32 stadium booths, 32 daybeds, 28 cabanas, water couches, poolside boxes and two owner’s suites to rent. Guests of The D and Golden Gate also get general admission, so expect a crowd on big game days.
The catch: guests often mention noise and bass from the pool, so light sleepers should think twice about a Stadium Swim view. Our ranking of Las Vegas hotels with pools compares it with the big Strip complexes.
Restaurants and bars
Circa counts five restaurants and five bars:
- Barry’s Downtown Prime: Barry Dakake’s steakhouse, with a Wine Spectator 2025 Best of Award of Excellence.
- 8 East: pan-Asian cooking from chef Dan Coughlin.
- Saginaw’s Delicatessen: a deli open 24/7.
- Victory Burger & Wings Co. and Project BBQ, billed as the only permanent food truck on the Fremont Street Experience.
- Jack Pots: the coffee cafe.
Mega Bar runs 165 feet with 120 beers on tap and stays open 24/7, and Circa Bar is a 118-foot outdoor bar on the Fremont Street Experience; Vegas Vickie’s, Overhang Bar, Galaxy Watch Zone and Girth Bar round out the list. Legacy Club is the rooftop lounge on level 60, where hotel guests get one complimentary glass of champagne per stay.
Casino
The two-level casino has 1,350 slots, 55 table games, 138 bar-top games, 55 high-limit slots and 18 electronic table games, with blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat and three-card poker. Club One is the players club.
Circa Sports, billed as the world’s largest sportsbook, is a multi-level room with a 78-million-pixel screen. Poker players should look elsewhere: “Circa currently does not offer a dedicated poker room,” says the guest guide. Golden Nugget, down Fremont Street, opened a relocated nine-table poker room in July 2026, according to local news reports.
Is Circa smoke-free? Probably not. Circa publishes no casino smoking policy, but opening-era coverage and Travelocity describe smoking areas (see the FAQ). If smoke is a deal-breaker, see our non-smoking hotels in Las Vegas.
Entertainment and nightlife
There’s no resident production show; Circa’s entertainment is sports, the pool and the rooftop. In October 2026 the calendar centers on pro and college football at Circa Sportsbook and Stadium Swim, plus Legacy Club events such as Haunted Heights, Rooftop Rodeo and Bourbon & Blues.
For New Year’s Eve, Legacy Club sells “Countdown In The Clouds” at $295 plus Live Entertainment Tax per person (as of October 2026). Circa also promotes the Neon City Festival, Nov. 20–22, 2026, on the canopy and at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. The rest of your nightlife is outside: free live music on three Fremont Street stages nightly and canopy shows hourly from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Amenities
- Stadium Swim and Circa Sports: the two headline amenities.
- Concierge: books airport shuttles and limos.
- Garage Mahal: downtown’s only Hertz desk.
- Fitness and Wi-Fi: third-party resort-fee lists say the fee covers both; Circa doesn’t publish its own list, so confirm at check-in.
- Kids: not allowed anywhere on property.
- Pets: “Pets are not allowed at Circa. However, trained service animals are permitted as required by law. Please note that emotional support animals are not considered service animals.” Our pet-friendly hotels in Las Vegas guide lists downtown hotels that take dogs.
Good to know
Check-in is at 3 p.m. “but is not guaranteed”; ask the front desk about early check-in. Check-out is 11 a.m., and late check-out “may be available for an additional fee.” Circa doesn’t publish its deposit; Booking.com says a $100 damage deposit is required on arrival by credit card, with no cash accepted.
Parking
Self-parking costs hotel guests $25 a day (a front-desk pass, charged to the room), and valet is $20 a day, so valet is the cheaper choice here (both as of October 2026). Las Vegas Advisor reported in October 2025 that self-parking is free for Club One Legend tier and above.
Everything runs through Garage Mahal, Circa’s eight-story, 982-space garage across the street. Valet drop-off is at the porte cochere at Main Street and Ogden, with pick-up at the garage. There’s no EV charging. Golden Nugget, The D, Golden Gate and Downtown Grand park hotel guests free; our Las Vegas parking fees guide compares them.
Getting around: transportation
- To the Strip: Circa runs no Strip shuttle. RTC’s Deuce bus links the Strip and downtown 24 hours a day, every 10 to 20 minutes, for $4 a ride or $8 for 24 hours (increases are proposed from January 2027). Circa doesn’t name the nearest stop, so check the rideRTC app. Our guide to getting from the Strip to Fremont Street compares bus, rideshare and taxi.
- Rideshare: pickups are at Garage Mahal.
- Monorail: it doesn’t reach downtown.
- Downtown Loop: a free shuttle around downtown, with limited hours.
- Event shuttles: paid M Ride shuttles to Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena leave from Garage Mahal.
- Airport: no Circa shuttle, and downtown is outside the airport’s taxi flat-fare zones, so cabs run on the meter.
Resort fee
Circa charges a resort fee of $50 per night plus tax (as of October 2026). The amount isn’t printed on circalasvegas.com, but Circa’s own booking engine shows rates that “Includes $50.00 Fees, Excludes Taxes,” so ignore any guide claiming Circa has no fee.
What it covers is less clear: Circa’s guest guide only mentions the two Stadium Swim passes per room per night, and third-party lists add Wi-Fi, fitness center access and concierge services. Parking is extra, so a driver who self-parks pays $75 a night before tax ($50 resort fee + $25 parking). Our Las Vegas resort fees guide compares every downtown fee, and Circa’s official guest guide has current policies.
Nearby attractions
- Fremont Street Experience: free canopy shows hourly from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. and live music on three stages.

- The Mob Museum: 300 Stewart Ave., open daily 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Arts District: several blocks south of Fremont Street, with a free First Friday art walk.

Circa vs Golden Nugget
These two full-service resorts suit different trips. Circa publishes no walking distance to Golden Nugget, but both open onto the Fremont Street Experience, so it’s a walk along the canopy, not a ride.
- Choose Circa if everyone is 21+ and you want the newer rooms, a year-round pool, the giant sportsbook and the rooftop bar. It sits in the upscale price tier.
- Choose Golden Nugget if anyone is under 21 (its minimum check-in age is 18), you’re driving (hotel guests self-park free), you want a poker room or a showroom, or you’re bringing a dog. Its resort fee is $46 plus tax (as of October 2026), and it’s mid-range.
- Pool caveat: Golden Nugget’s Tank pool complex is open, but its shark aquarium and waterslide are closed for repairs, with the aquarium expected back in summer 2027, per Casinos.com.
Alternatives nearby
The D, from the same owners, is the value play: hotel guests park free (self or valet) and get free general admission to Stadium Swim, and the resort fee is a reported $39.95 plus tax (as of October 2026). It requires check-in at 21 but isn’t adults-only. Choose it for Circa’s pool at a lower cost and a party-casino feel.
Downtown Grand sits about a block off Fremont Street, with a rooftop pool deck it keeps open year-round and free self-parking for hotel guests; its $39-plus-tax fee is waived for Nevada residents. Choose it if you’re driving and want distance from the canopy noise.

Is it worth staying here?
Yes, if your trip is adults-only and built around sports, the pool and Fremont Street. Circa has the newest rooms downtown and a pool you can use all year, and the 21+ rule changes the feel of the whole property. The value case is weakest for drivers and for anyone planning Strip shows every night: with $75 a night in fees and parking before tax, a Strip hotel may cost about the same.
Prices vary according to travel dates and availability, so add the fee, tax and any parking before you compare; our list of the best hotels in Las Vegas shows what the Strip offers.

FAQ
Is Circa Las Vegas adults only?
Yes. Circa is a 21+ property: every guest must be at least 21 to enter, including hotel guests, casino patrons and visitors to its restaurants and bars, and valid ID is required. Stadium Swim is 21+ too. Families should look at Golden Nugget, a walk down Fremont Street, where the minimum check-in age is 18.
Is Circa on the Strip or on Fremont Street?
Fremont Street. Circa is at 8 Fremont St., at the west (Main Street) end of the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. The center Strip is about a 10-minute drive away, according to the Fremont Street Experience. The 24-hour Deuce bus and rideshares connect the two; the Monorail doesn’t reach downtown.
Does Circa Las Vegas have a resort fee?
Yes. Circa’s own booking engine shows a $50 nightly fee, excluding taxes (as of October 2026), though the amount isn’t printed on its website. Circa publishes no list of inclusions beyond two Stadium Swim passes per room per night. Parking is extra: $25 a day to self-park or $20 for valet.
Is Circa Las Vegas pet friendly?
No. “Pets are not allowed at Circa,” according to its guest guide. Trained service animals are permitted as required by law, but Circa says emotional support animals don’t count as service animals. If you’re bringing a dog downtown, Golden Nugget offers a limited number of dog-friendly rooms that must be reserved in advance.
Is Circa Las Vegas smoke free?
No, as far as the available sources show. Circa doesn’t publish a casino smoking policy, but coverage from its 2020 opening described smoking and non-smoking options, and Travelocity says smoking is allowed in designated areas. In rooms, Circa bills a cleaning fee if smoking occurs, so treat them as non-smoking.
How far is Circa from Golden Nugget?
Close enough to walk. Circa doesn’t publish a distance, but both hotels open onto the five-block Fremont Street Experience, with Circa at the west end, so you walk along the pedestrian mall rather than take a ride. Golden Nugget also has a poker room, according to July 2026 news reports.
