Hotels near Las Vegas Motor Speedway are few and mostly chain-branded, because the track sits well north of the casino corridor. The Speedway is at 7000 Las Vegas Blvd N, off I-15 at Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd), and describes itself as “about 10 miles north of downtown Las Vegas.” Only one hotel sits right by the track; the rest are a few miles southwest around I-15 and Craig Road, and every option involves a drive.

Quick answer

The closest hotel is Motel 6 Las Vegas Motor Speedway, about 1.3 miles from the track as the crow flies. For a group, TownePlace Suites Las Vegas North I-15 has full kitchens and is about 3.9 miles away by our calculation. The closest casino hotel is the Cannery on Craig Road. If the race is one day of a longer Vegas trip, stay on the Strip or downtown and drive or take the Speedway Shuttle if it returns.

NASCAR at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2027: dates and schedule

Las Vegas hosts two NASCAR weekends in 2027. The spring dates are on the Speedway’s own calendar; the fall dates come from NASCAR’s 2027 schedule announcement, and the Speedway hasn’t listed that weekend yet.

The Speedway sells weekend packages that cover both spring races, with separate pricing for kids 12 and under on its event page. Official travel packages are sold through On Location, which the Speedway links from its homepage.

The 1.5-mile tri-oval is part of a complex that also includes the Bullring (a 0.375-mile short track), a dirt track and The Strip drag strip. Its stated capacity was 80,000 in 2023, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

Two more hotels near Nellis Air Force Base show up on booking sites: La Quinta Inn & Suites Las Vegas Nellis (about 3.7 miles) and Holiday Inn Express Las Vegas-Nellis (about 3.9 miles), both by our straight-line calculation. We couldn’t verify their addresses on an official page, so they aren’t in our cards.

This three-story, 100-room motel on Speedway Blvd opened on Sept. 1, 2018, and the Review-Journal reported it as “the first to be built near the Speedway.” It’s about 1.3 miles from the track by our straight-line calculation, closer than anything else.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

It’s a budget motel, and Motel 6’s brand policy lets pets stay free (up to two, 150 pounds combined), which helps if you’re road-tripping with a dog; see our pet-friendly hotels for more. Check-in is typically after 3 p.m. under the brand’s general policy.

Watch out for: we couldn’t verify this property’s own amenities, parking or race-weekend policies, and no official source describes a walking route to the gates, so plan on driving to the free lots.

A newer extended-stay Marriott right off I-15 with full kitchens in every suite, free breakfast, a heated outdoor pool and free self-parking. AAA puts it within a 10-minute drive of the Speedway.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Kitchens matter on a race weekend: you can stock the cooler for the tailgate and cook instead of eating out. Its own listing calls it “roughly three miles” from the Speedway, while our straight-line figure is 3.9 miles, so treat both as rough.

Watch out for: our details come from AAA and booking-site listings, because Marriott’s own page couldn’t be checked. Confirm the breakfast format and fees when you book.

It’s a good fit for Nellis visitors and race fans staying several nights. One listing describes the pool as indoor, so check before you pack swimsuits for a March weekend.

Watch out for: don’t confuse it with Home2 Suites Las Vegas Northwest on W Deer Springs Way, a different property. Parking details come from a single listing.

4. Cannery Casino Hotel: Closest Casino Hotel to the Speedway

Boyd Gaming’s 1940s-themed locals casino on Craig Road is the closest casino hotel to the Speedway that we found, about 6.5 miles away as the crow flies. All rooms are smoke-free, according to the Cannery, though the casino isn’t.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

The Cannery suits fans who want a casino and a sit-down dinner after the race without driving to the Strip. Las Vegas Advisor last reported its resort fee at $33.89 a night (June 2025, the latest figure we found as of October 2026), and self-parking is reported to be free; confirm both when you book. If you’re in town for the Thanksgiving E.T. Bracket Nationals (Nov. 24–29, 2026), its Carve restaurant serves a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 26 from 3 to 9 p.m. for $44 per person (as of October 2026).

Watch out for: the resort pool is seasonal, and one booking site says it’s closed from October through March, which covers both race weekends.

It’s the farthest of the Craig Road cluster from the track, about 6.7 miles straight-line by our calculation, but the suites and fire pits make it the easiest base for a family weekend. Our details come from Hilton’s page as it appears in search results, because the page blocked direct access.

Boyd Gaming’s resort at Aliante Parkway and the 215 Beltway has more than 100,000 square feet of gaming, a resort-style pool, a new 3,500-square-foot spa and a 650-seat showroom. It’s about 9.7 miles from the Speedway by our straight-line calculation.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Aliante is for race fans who want a full resort away from the Strip. Las Vegas Advisor reported a $35.99 resort fee in June 2025, still the latest figure we found in October 2026 (one booking site lists $40.67), and says it covers self-parking and overnight valet. We couldn’t find Aliante on Booking.com, so the button goes to the hotel’s own site.

Watch out for: it’s on the west side of North Las Vegas, farther from the track than the Craig Road hotels.

Strip, downtown or North Las Vegas for race weekend?

Choose North Las Vegas if the race is the reason for the trip. You’ll be closer to the lots, you won’t start race day in Strip traffic, and most of these hotels park free. The trade-off: they’re practical hotels, and only the Cannery and Aliante offer a casino-resort scene.

Choose the Strip or downtown if the race is one day of a longer Vegas trip. For the March 2026 Pennzoil 400, the Speedway ran a Speedway Shuttle with round-trip reserved seats from Planet Hollywood and Treasure Island on the Strip and Circa (from its Garage Mahal) downtown. Race-day buses left at 8 a.m., and return buses left about 45 minutes after the checkered flag. The Speedway said “Seats are limited and advanced reservations are recommended.” The 2027 shuttle hasn’t been announced, so treat those stops as last season’s.

Downtown Upscale

  • Adults only (21+)

  • Circa Sports

Downtown's newest and most upscale resort, adults-only (21+), with Stadium Swim: six pools facing a giant screen, open year-round.

If you’re driving from the Strip, Treasure Island is the practical pick: self-parking and valet are free for hotel guests. Circa is 21+ for everyone on the property, and Planet Hollywood charges for parking. Downtown is the closer base by our straight-line calculation; compare more in our guide to downtown Las Vegas hotels, and see Las Vegas parking fees before you commit to a Strip garage.

Getting to Las Vegas Motor Speedway from the Strip

By car: take I-15 North to Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd). On major event days, the Speedway tells drivers to use either of the left two lanes on the exit ramp and go straight across Speedway Blvd into the Blue Lot. Las Vegas Boulevard North is the alternate route. From Henderson and the southeast, take US-95 North to Las Vegas Boulevard, then head north to Entry 3. The Speedway posts NASCAR inbound and outbound traffic maps on its directions page.

How long it takes: the Speedway doesn’t publish a drive time from the Strip, and we won’t guess one for race day. The only estimates we found are in hotel and listing copy (SpringHill’s “20 minutes,” about 10 minutes for Home2 and, per AAA, TownePlace), and none is a race-day figure.

Parking and tailgating: “There is FREE parking surrounding the Speedway for your convenience (Blue & Brown Lots),” according to the Speedway’s FAQ. Tailgating is allowed in the public lots with attended propane grills, but no open fires or glass, and canopies can be no larger than 10 by 10 feet. Same-day re-entry is allowed with your ticket. We found no prices for paid or reserved parking.

Camping: the Speedway offers camping with staff and 24-hour security; reservations are by phone at 800-644-4444.

Where to stay on a budget

Motel 6 and the Cannery are the budget picks near the track, and the I-15 chain hotels include breakfast, which trims the weekend bill. We couldn’t verify whether those chain hotels add any fees, so check the total before you pay. If resort fees are your main worry, start with our list of Las Vegas hotels without resort fees, and for resort-style stays beyond the Boulevard, see the best off-Strip hotels.

Other events at the Speedway

The same hotels fill up for other events. The Mopar NHRA Las Vegas Nationals run Oct. 30–Nov. 1, 2026. Glittering Lights, the drive-thru holiday light show, runs Nov. 6, 2026, to Jan. 4, 2027 (more in our Christmas in Las Vegas guide), and the Thanksgiving E.T. Bracket Nationals follow on Nov. 24–29, 2026. EDC Las Vegas returns on May 14–16 and 21–23, 2027; for the festival, the official shuttle stops matter more than distance, so see our guide to EDC Las Vegas hotels.

Book as soon as you’ve picked a weekend, because only a handful of hotels sit near the track. If the race is part of a bigger trip, start with where to stay in Las Vegas.
