JW Marriott Las Vegas is a Summerlin resort to compare for a stay centered on spa time, golf arrangements and the western valley. It is part of The Resort at Summerlin, with an on-property casino, landscaped grounds and a waterfall-pool setting. Choose it because that setting fits the trip, not because an off-Strip resort should automatically cost less or provide effortless access to every Strip attraction.

Who should book JW Marriott Las Vegas?

Consider the JW Marriott for a western-valley resort stay or a trip organized around Spa Aquae and nearby golf. Compare a Strip base if most bookings are there. Reserve a balcony or particular bathroom feature explicitly, and confirm golf, spa and pool arrangements separately from the room.

Summerlin location and the wider resort name

The hotel is on North Rampart Boulevard in Summerlin. Current Marriott information places it within The Resort at Summerlin and refers to the on-property casino under that resort identity. These names describe parts of the same wider setting rather than evidence of a Strip location.

The western valley can be useful when your plans involve Summerlin or Red Rock Canyon. The hotel reservation does not settle park access or transport. Check any separate entry and reservation requirements for the attraction you intend to visit.

Use our Red Rock Canyon hotel guide and off-Strip guide. If the trip includes repeated central Strip outings, compare the complete transport plan before choosing this base.

Rooms, suites and balcony categories

Marriott’s room information identifies rooms and suites with features such as coffee makers, mini refrigerators and marble bathrooms. It also markets selected accommodation with balconies. The category returned for your dates is the relevant promise, not every feature shown on the general room page.

Decide what the upgrade needs to achieve. A balcony may matter for an afternoon at the hotel; a separate bedroom may be more useful to travelers with different schedules. Additional floor space is less persuasive when it does not change how the room will be used.

PriorityWhat to reserve or confirm
Outdoor spaceA named balcony category, not a preference request
Particular bathThe exact tub and shower arrangement
More privacyA floor plan with a separate bedroom
Separate bedsThe specified bed type and approved guest count
AccessibilityRoom-specific bathroom and mobility features

Our balcony guide and jetted-tub guide help distinguish similar-sounding amenities. An ordinary soaking tub and a jetted tub should not be treated as the same feature.

Waterfall pool: confirm the facilities for your dates

The resort markets an outdoor pool with a waterfall setting, cabanas and poolside dining. That can support a resort-focused stay, especially when the alternative would be traveling elsewhere for leisure time.

Confirm current operation and any work affecting the pool or surrounding areas. A planned refresh, maintenance period or event can change the experience for particular dates. An older gallery photograph is not a substitute for a current operating answer.

Ask whether ordinary seating, a cabana and poolside service have separate reservations or charges. For a family, confirm the available facilities rather than assuming that every resort pool includes a slide or other water-play feature.

Spa Aquae and fitness

Spa Aquae is a central part of the hotel’s leisure offering. Separate a spa treatment reservation from access to fitness, hydrotherapy or other facilities. A benefit listed for an eligible member or package should not be applied to every public rate.

Choose the experience you actually want, then check its hours and conditions. A room package with a credit may be useful if it applies to a treatment you would otherwise purchase; a credit that expires unused does not reduce the practical cost of the stay.

Our Las Vegas spa guide provides a wider comparison. Confirm the service itself before making the hotel booking dependent on an appointment that is not yet available.

Golf: separate a course reservation from the hotel

Marriott’s local experience information highlights TPC Las Vegas and other golf options in the western valley. That is a useful starting point, but a nearby course is not the same as a round included with every hotel booking.

Check the course name, tee time, player eligibility, transport and the terms of any golf package. A putting-course benefit is also different from an included round on a full-length course.

Our golf hotel guide compares a Summerlin base with staying at Wynn on the Strip. Choose the accommodation around the courses and appointments you can actually reserve.

Casino, dining and events

The on-property casino means this is not a completely non-gaming retreat, despite the landscaped resort setting. If avoiding a casino environment is essential, compare the non-smoking and casino-free guide instead.

Dining and event spaces can make it practical to spend more of a trip at the resort. Confirm restaurant opening days and reservations independently. A wedding or meeting booking also has different terms from guest-room accommodation.

For a group event, the wedding hotel guide and room-block guide explain how to separate venue, meal and guest-room commitments.

Mandatory charge, parking and package value

Marriott lists resort-fee inclusions on the accommodation page. Read the current total with tax and the conditions of the actual package, then value only the benefits you expect to use.

Check current parking arrangements and any eligibility conditions before comparing with a Strip hotel. A lower room rate elsewhere can still be a worse fit if it creates repeated travel back to Summerlin, while a lower Summerlin rate can lose its advantage on a Strip-centered holiday.

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability. Compare Red Rock for another western-valley resort, with a different location and facilities. Use the where-to-stay guide when the overall base is still undecided.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Landscaped Summerlin resort with Spa Aquae
  • Selected balcony accommodation to reserve explicitly

Cons

  • Separate transport for most Strip plans
  • Golf rounds and spa treatments need their own confirmation

FAQ

Is JW Marriott Las Vegas on the Strip?

No. It is in Summerlin. Choose it for the western-valley setting and compare separate travel for Strip plans.

Does every room have a balcony?

Do not assume so. Reserve a category that explicitly includes outdoor space and verify the layout you are buying.

Is golf included in the room price?

Only rely on the exact inclusions of your offer. A putting benefit, a golf package and access to a nearby course are different arrangements.

Is the resort casino-free?

No. The property includes a casino within The Resort at Summerlin. The landscaped setting does not change that distinction.
