Caesars Palace hotel towers differ in room collection, resort position and the categories sold under current names. Start by recognizing that Colosseum Tower is the former Forum Tower, and that Nobu is a separate hotel product within the wider Caesars Palace resort.
How to choose a Caesars Palace tower
Compare the exact Augustus, Octavius, Palace, Julius or Colosseum category against your bed, bathroom, view and route priorities. Do not assume the tower name guarantees a fountain view or a completed renovation. Match the current room description to the rate you reserve.
Caesars Palace hotel towers: use current names
Older hotel maps, reviews and travel-agent material may still refer to Forum Tower. Caesars’ official information identifies the renovated collection as Colosseum Tower, so use the current booking name when comparing accommodation.
The Forum Shops remain a separate retail destination. A reference to those shops does not mean the old tower name is still the correct room category.
Read the Caesars Palace review for the overall resort decision. This guide focuses on choosing a room location within the complex rather than ranking Caesars against every other Strip hotel.
A useful tower comparison
Treat these as starting points for a room search, then confirm the category and current map. No tower label alone establishes every bed, view or bathroom detail.
| Tower or hotel | Main comparison task |
|---|---|
| Augustus | Match room category, southern resort position and any named view |
| Octavius | Compare its room collection and route near the southern resort area |
| Palace | Check the route to meetings, shops and pool facilities |
| Julius | Compare the specific category in its central resort setting |
| Colosseum | Use the current name rather than the former Forum label |
| Nobu Hotel | Evaluate a separate room-and-arrival product within Caesars Palace |
Your best choice depends on repeated destinations. A meeting schedule, pool-centered vacation and show-focused overnight can produce different answers.
Augustus and Octavius: compare more than size
Official Caesars accommodation information places Augustus and Octavius in the southern resort area near the lobby and Garden of the Gods pool setting. That can be useful, but the exact room and elevator route still need checking.
A named Strip-view category is different from a general request. Do not assume every room in either tower provides the same fountain outlook or viewing angle.
If the view is essential, use our fountain-view guide and obtain the category’s actual guarantee. If the bathroom matters more, confirm tub, shower and accessible variants before paying for a view premium.

Palace and Julius: location versus room specification
Palace and Julius should be compared by the room you are actually offered, not by a simple claim that one tower is always best. Check the current photographs, bed category, bathroom and approved occupancy.
For convention or meeting guests, identify the correct event room and route. A hotel room convenient to a pool is not automatically the most convenient one for morning sessions.
For friends sharing, bathroom privacy and permanent beds may outweigh decorative differences. A king suite with seating should not be assumed to provide an additional bed or enclosed second bedroom.
The room-type guide explains how to distinguish the confirmed product from an arrival preference.

Colosseum: the former Forum Tower
Use the Colosseum name when comparing current room inventory. Caesars’ official material describes the former Forum Tower under the updated identity and distinguishes rooms, suites and larger premium accommodation.
A Colosseum Tower room is not a ticket package for the Colosseum performance venue. Likewise, a suite photograph from the tower does not show what every standard room contains.
If a performance is the main reason for the stay, read our Colosseum hotel guide. Compare the room location with the current theatre directions and leave time for entry procedures.
Nobu: a separate hotel-within-a-resort decision
Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace has its own room collection and arrival identity within the larger resort. It should not be treated as another name for a standard Caesars tower room.
Read the Nobu review for that product. Confirm the actual benefits, restaurant arrangements and pool conditions attached to your selected rate.
A boutique hotel setting inside a large resort can appeal to some guests, but it does not mean every facility is private or that the wider resort becomes compact. Map the route to the places you expect to visit.
Renovation announcements are not completion guarantees
Caesars has announced further room and resort enhancements, including plans affecting several towers. An announcement saying work is coming does not prove every room in that tower has already been redesigned.
The October 2026 official update still describes upcoming work in Augustus, Julius and Palace. Ask about the category currently sold for your dates, any construction impact and whether the room description explicitly identifies the completed product.
Avoid paying a premium based only on an old “newly renovated” phrase. Current room-specific information is more useful than the age of a broad hotel review.

Booking channel, fees and arrival requests
Compare identical dates, guests, category and cancellation conditions. An offer for a room assigned at arrival is not equivalent to a confirmed tower, bed and view.
If an intermediary uses an abbreviated name, ask which current Caesars category it corresponds to. Keep the confirmation and any essential feature approval together.
The booking-channel guide, resort-fee guide and deposit guide help compare the full booking rather than only a nightly number.

FAQ
Is Forum Tower still the current name?
Caesars’ current official material identifies the former Forum Tower as Colosseum Tower. Match your booking to the current room name.
Does Augustus guarantee a fountain view?
No such guarantee should be inferred from the tower alone. Choose the appropriate named view category and confirm what it promises.
Are all announced renovations complete?
No completion should be assumed from an announcement. Confirm the room sold for your dates and any current work affecting the stay.
Is Nobu the same as a standard Caesars tower room?
No. It is a separate hotel product within the wider resort, with its own accommodation and arrival arrangements.
