Las Vegas hotel cribs and rollaway beds must be checked against the exact room category and approved occupancy. A hotel offering extra beds somewhere in the property does not mean one can be added to every king or two-queen room.

How to confirm an extra sleeping arrangement

Enter every guest and child’s age when searching, choose a category that permits the party, then ask the hotel to confirm the required crib or rollaway. Check availability, nightly charges and whether the equipment can be guaranteed. An extra bed does not override the room’s occupancy limit.

Las Vegas hotel cribs and rollaway beds: start with capacity

The first question is whether the room is approved for everyone staying there. The second is whether the hotel can supply the equipment you need. Both answers must be positive for the arrangement to work.

Do not calculate capacity from empty floor space or assume a child does not count because they will use a crib. Search with the actual ages and check the hotel’s rules for that category.

Our family-of-five guide compares larger-party options. The room-type guide explains why a suite label does not establish the number of usable beds.

Crib, rollaway and sofa bed are different

A crib is equipment for a child within the property’s stated age and size conditions. A rollaway is an additional bed supplied under room-specific rules. A sofa bed is part of the accommodation only when the selected category explicitly includes it.

A couch shown in a photograph is not proof of a sleeper. Nor does a hotel offering rollaways establish that one can be added to a two-queen room where space or occupancy rules prohibit it.

Use our sofa-bed guide if you are comparing a permanent sleeper with an on-request extra bed. Ask about mattress size and bedding when that affects who will sleep there.

Four Seasons: room-specific extra-bed information

Four Seasons’ official accommodation pages provide a useful example of category-level detail. They distinguish permitted crib and rollaway arrangements between king-bedded and queen-bedded rooms and identify additional charges where applicable.

That is more useful than a general property-wide “extra beds available” label. A family should compare the named room’s bed configuration, occupancy and allowed equipment together.

Read our Four Seasons review for the hotel choice, then use the current official room page to confirm the exact arrangement. Do not apply one category’s allowance to a different room because the floor area looks similar.

MGM properties: availability varies by resort

MGM’s official FAQ says crib availability varies and encourages guests to contact the property before arrival. That is a request process, not a promise that every hotel room can accommodate any equipment at any time.

Contact the actual resort with the reservation number, dates and category. Ask whether the equipment is permitted, whether there is a charge and whether it can be confirmed rather than merely noted.

If a rollaway is essential for an adult, do not replace it with an unconfirmed sofa assumption. Choose a room with enough guaranteed beds or another suitable category if the hotel cannot provide a reliable arrangement.

Venetian and Palazzo: verify the selected sleeper setup

The Venetian’s official suite information describes sleeper-sofa arrangements and says rollaway beds are not offered as the substitute. Individual category pages can use request-based wording, so confirm the exact suite rather than generalizing across the entire resort.

A sunken living area is open to the sleeping area in standard suite layouts; it should not be treated as a separate enclosed bedroom. That can matter when adults and children keep different schedules.

Our Venetian versus Palazzo comparison explains the tower choice. The Venetian review covers the broader accommodation trade-offs.

What to ask the hotel

Send the relevant details in one message so the answer applies to the room you intend to book.

DetailWhat to provide or ask
PartyNumber of adults and each child’s age
RoomExact category and bed type
EquipmentCrib, rollaway or confirmed sofa sleeper
PermissionWhether that arrangement fits approved occupancy
PriceCharge per night or per stay, including tax
ConfirmationGuaranteed equipment or availability-only request

If you are arriving late, ask whether the equipment can be arranged before arrival or how to request it at that hour. A note on the booking may require a separate housekeeping step.

Space, stairs and the daily room routine

Look at the room with every bed in use. Can people reach the bathroom, open luggage and move through the room without shifting furniture? Extra floor area on a listing does not answer that by itself.

For a loft or multi-level suite, consider access as well as sleeping capacity. Residence Inn Convention Center, for example, warns that its second-floor rooms have no elevator access. A larger category can be a poor match for a stroller or mobility needs.

Read the Residence Inn review and the accessible-room guide when the route matters. Confirm a suitable arrangement before paying for a nonrefundable room.

When another room is the better solution

A two-queen room, a larger suite or confirmed connecting rooms can be more practical than relying on an extra bed. Compare the complete cost, including additional-person and equipment charges.

Connecting and adjoining rooms are different. If an internal door is essential, use the connecting-room guide and book through a process that actually confirms it.

Do not add an unregistered sleeper to avoid a larger-room price. The hotel needs the accurate party to confirm occupancy, equipment and access. A reservation that fits on paper is useful only if it works at check-in.

Choose the hotel around the full family trip

Use our family hotel guide and where-to-stay overview to compare location, pools and meals after the sleeping arrangement is settled.

A hotel with a popular pool is not automatically the best choice if the room leaves someone without a confirmed bed. A quieter property with a suitable layout may produce a more workable stay.

Keep the written equipment confirmation with the reservation and recheck material changes before travel. This guide addresses booking logistics; use the equipment according to the manufacturer’s and property’s instructions.

FAQ

Can a rollaway increase the room’s maximum occupancy?

No automatic increase should be assumed. The room must permit the full party and the specific extra-bed arrangement.

Are cribs guaranteed when requested online?

Not necessarily. Ask whether the hotel confirms the equipment or records it only as an availability-based request.

Can every two-queen room take a rollaway?

No. Rules differ by hotel and category, so obtain an answer for the exact room before booking.

Is a sofa in a room photo a sofa bed?

Not necessarily. The selected category must identify the sleeper arrangement and permit the intended guest count.
