Suncoast Hotel & Casino is a practical western Las Vegas base when your plans center on the Summerlin area, golf or local entertainment rather than the Strip. Its appeal includes spacious standard rooms, a casino, bowling and parking within the published resort-fee package. The tradeoff is distance from the Strip: repeated journeys can erase an attractive room-price difference, so choose the hotel around where you will actually spend your time.

When Suncoast is the right choice

Consider Suncoast for a west-side trip with a car and time planned around Summerlin or nearby golf. For a first visit dominated by central Strip sightseeing and shows, compare the full transport cost with a hotel nearer those activities.

This research-based review uses Boyd Gaming’s official room and amenity information. We have not personally stayed here or measured room conditions.

Location: a west-side hotel, not a Strip resort

Suncoast is at 9090 Alta Drive, on the western side of Las Vegas near the Summerlin area. This is a useful location for some trips and a poor match for others. Start with the destinations on your calendar rather than treating every Las Vegas hotel as equally convenient to the Strip.

A visitor meeting family in Summerlin, playing golf nearby or spending most days on the west side has a different transport pattern from someone with dinner and show reservations on Las Vegas Boulevard every night. Compare those patterns before comparing the room rates.

Our Summerlin hotel guide is a useful starting point. For a broader neighborhood decision, read where to stay in Las Vegas and identify which area supports the majority of your plans.

Deluxe King versus Deluxe Two Queens

Boyd’s Deluxe King description lists a 550-square-foot room and a queen pull-out sofa among the features. The Deluxe Two Queens description also lists 550 square feet, with two main queen beds and an in-room refrigerator.

Those are different sleeping arrangements even when the published floor area matches. A couple may prefer a king and sitting space. Two travelers who do not share a bed may value the two-queen category more than a larger-sounding room name.

Do not extend the King page’s sofa-bed feature to every Two Queens room. Likewise, golf-course views may be available without being included in every reservation. Ask which features are guaranteed within the room type and which are requests.

How spacious rooms change the value calculation

Extra room space is useful when you will spend time indoors, travel with substantial luggage or need a sitting area between outings. It matters less if the entire trip consists of late arrivals and early departures.

For a family, compare beds and permitted occupancy before deciding that the room solves the whole group’s needs. A sofa bed can provide an additional sleeping surface while still changing how the sitting area functions at night. Our sofa-bed hotel guide explains the questions to ask about bedding, setup and occupancy.

An in-room refrigerator is useful for drinks and simple food storage, but it is not a full kitchen. Do not plan an apartment-style cooking routine around a standard room unless the selected category explicitly lists the equipment you need. Compare confirmed hotels with kitchens if cooking is central to the stay.

Resort fee and parking: read the tax basis

The official rooms-and-suites page listed a $41.80 nightly resort fee including tax when researched in October 2026. Its published inclusions cover self-parking, overnight valet, fitness facilities, an in-room refrigerator and seasonal pool and jacuzzi access, among other services.

The “including tax” wording matters. Do not automatically add a second tax calculation to that published fee. Check the final rate breakdown to see how the booking channel presents the room, mandatory charges and taxes for your dates.

Parking within the package does not make Suncoast a no-resort-fee hotel. It may still compare favorably for a driver, but use the full stay total rather than comparing one hotel’s base room rate with another hotel’s complete price.

For longer trips, multiply recurring mandatory charges by every night. Our resort-fee guide and parking-fee guide help keep those items separate from optional spending and refundable card authorizations.

Check Suncoast room choices and total prices

Prices vary according to travel dates and availability.

Bowling, pools and what is included

The official bowling page describes a 64-lane center with an arcade, pro shop and snack facilities. That can give a group a straightforward activity without driving back across town. Check lane availability and the current pricing before treating bowling as part of a prepaid holiday budget.

Bowling is an activity on the property, not automatically a complimentary hotel inclusion. The same distinction applies to dining and other entertainment. Read the selected package if it advertises a specific credit or benefit.

The hotel’s pool and jacuzzi are described as seasonal in its resort-fee information. Check the operation schedule for your dates if swimming is important. An attractive pool photograph does not establish that the pool will be open during a winter visit or that every poolside service will operate.

Golf location does not include a golf booking

Suncoast can appeal to travelers organizing a golf trip in the western valley. However, a room with a golf-course view is not a tee-time reservation, access to a private course or a package including green fees.

Choose the course and confirm playing availability first, then evaluate the hotel around the journey and your off-course plans. Ask about storage and transport if you are bringing clubs. Our Las Vegas golf-hotel guide helps separate a convenient golf-area hotel from an actual included golf package.

For non-golfers sharing the trip, check whether the rest of the itinerary works from this location. A good base for morning rounds can still be inconvenient for someone planning several independent Strip outings without a car.

Connectivity and practical booking questions

The official standard-room pages distinguish basic internet from a paid higher-speed option. Avoid assuming that included Wi-Fi will support every work task simply because access is advertised. Ask about the currently available plan if your trip depends on video calls or large file transfers.

Before paying, confirm the bed category, any view selection, full mandatory charges, cancellation deadline and incidental authorization. Travelers with accessibility requirements should book the specific room and discuss the route to the facilities they expect to use.

For alternatives in the same broad part of the valley, compare JW Marriott Las Vegas and Red Rock. They are different properties with their own fee models and amenities, so compare the particular benefits you will use.

Our research-based verdict

Suncoast is a sensible western Las Vegas option when the itinerary genuinely belongs near Summerlin and nearby golf. The standard room sizes and onsite activities are useful, but the resort fee, seasonal swimming and distance from the Strip remain important. Location should decide whether it makes your shortlist.

Frequently asked questions

Is Suncoast on the Strip?

No. It is on Alta Drive in western Las Vegas near the Summerlin area. Plan separate transport for Strip visits.

Is there a resort fee?

Yes. The official page listed $41.80 per night including tax when researched in October 2026. Check the selected rate for the current total and presentation.

Do all standard rooms have sofa beds?

Do not assume that. The Deluxe King page lists a queen pull-out sofa; verify the exact category and permitted occupancy rather than extending that feature to every room.

Is golf included in the room price?

A golf-area location or course view does not include a tee time or green fees. Any golf benefit must be explicitly included in the package you book.
